ST Death Star and Superweapons

I've said this before and I'll say it again: I want to see a multiple Death Star vs. Death Star vs. Death Star vs. Death Star battle. Rebel heroes take over one Death Star and then start shooting down other Death Stars! BOOM! BOOM! BLAMMM!! Oh, crap, just hit a planet! BOOM! And so forth.

 

It occurred to me that it could be cool if something important was salvaged from the debris/wreckage of the 2nd Death Star. Some kind of plans, info or weapon that the bad guys got their hands on.

 

There should be a means of devastation in the ST, but not another DS. I like the idea of a spiritual or ethereal threat...something that could unravel the Force. I'm not fancying the idea of 'midi-chlorians on strike', but there should be an absolute danger to not only our heroes, but lost heroes of the past. A complete undoing of the Force and those joined with it.

There's your means of getting PT characters back in.

 

What about the Death Star prototype? That sounds like a good idea for the ST. It was originally depicted in one of the old 'Essential guide' books. The question I have is why it was left out of the most recent 'Essential guide to vehicles and vessels'?

 

Say what you want about Sidious surviving ROTJ but having yet another Death Star would be awful.

 

I think you just described Star Wars: Michael Bay Edition.

 

It's been depicted again in The Death Star Owners Workshop Manual, which was released this month.

 

How about a space station that destroys the Force?

I love me superweapons, so I could probably geek out on another DS. But obviously that would be wrong for our times. DS was more relevant back in the day of our fears of global nuclear destruction. Today things like drones, surveillance, terrorism are more relevant. Viruses too (although played out?). The question to ask is what would be a technology of war that would be interesting for us to see in the ST (if anything)?

 

death star will appear only as a reference... death star 3 would be fatal for the sequel!

btw.... death stars are easily destroyed -.- so whats the point in making another one?

 

Second Death Star was only easily destroyed because it was still under construction, leaving its reactor exposed. A completed one would, apparently, have been near-invincible.

 

Everything can be destroyed; nothing should be built.

That's been done- but I suppose it wouldn't be a huge surprise for Disney to do the same.

 

would a new Death Star be part of the "Alan Parsons Project" or "Project Bananarama"?

 

Maybe mentioning how two Death Star's DIDN'T work???

 

While I do think it would be a mistake to have yet another Death Star - the second wouldn't have been nearly as vulnerable as the first- if it had been completed.
