San Joaquin, CA December Meeting Minutes

Here are the minutes from the December 16, 2005 meeting. Paraphrased.

The meeting was called to order at 7:36 pm. Jeanette and Lorenzo were absent.
Minutes form October meeting were approved as everyone swore that they had read them. I know better.

Bette reported that ObiShawn had a meeting with LucusFilm and GenCon people to discuss holding Celebration 4 at L.A. Convention Conter. It looks promising. She stated that she will keep the members informed as to what happens. Bette also reported that FIDM Star Wars Fan Day went well with Barry winning for Best Prop with his Dooku Lightsabre. "Mom" was a big hit and we were again well received. There is a rumour of another Star Wars costume Exhibit.

Barry gave the treasury report. More then $50.00 at this time.

Josh stated that he is hoping to begin working with LED sabres and also wants to begin creating blasters and other guns. As to the website he said that it would be down for a short time and he was in fact currently having modem problems. Derek said that he had a remedy to our server trouble and that he and Josh would begin working on changing it vey soon.

Conventions were discussed and WonderCon is our next one coming up in February. Bette is going to check on hotel prices. We also talked about doing promo work for the Theatre again. That will be looked into as soon as possible.

Meeting adjourned at 8:37pm.

Quizzes aren't so tough, it's sitting through the meetings that is, hehehe

If some people would not wander off topic, or do other distracting stuff we could get through the meetings much more quickly but as it is I will bring a really big stick to bop people on the head with to keep their attention.

 

I think a cattle prod would be more effective...or taser gun...or at the least pepper spray.

 

Pepper spray might spread to innocent bystanders but I do like the idea of a cattle prod.

Ohhh, shock collars. That brings back memories of my days as a Nanny.

Okay, joking. Choke chains was my teaching tool of choice.
