Sth Bend, IN December meeting?

I thought I'd move this out of the Smallville thread....


I know it's early to talk about December plans, but I had to adjust my holiday travel schedule this week and before things get too planned out, I wanted to see if any of you would be interested/available in getting together while I'm home (Dec 21-27).

Xmaveric and garbagge59 - as discussed earlier, your plans were to be gone starting Dec 25. So if nothing's changed, that basically gives us Dec 22 (Mon) or 23 (Tues), saving Christmas Eve for family stuff.

Certainly a lot can change between now and then, but anyone up for something one of those days/nights? Just wanted to get it on the radar.

 

Monday would be best for me because the 23rd is my youngest's birthday.

Watch some shows, movies, play games, whatever...

I don't have to work the next day. ;-P

 

ToneLoc, can you be persuaded to favor the 22th? Poor garbagge59 already got shorted the honor of enjoying my presence back in May.

I do realize it's not even November yet, and almost impossible to plan so close to Christmas.

I'm just trying to stay flexible...

 

depending on the time, i may be able to swing the 23rd, but unlike TL, i do work the 24th, so it wouldn't be a late night for me anyways.

Alright brothers, what's the story here - are we going to be able to coordinate something pre-Christmas?

I need to know how/when I'm going to be able to get my presents from all of you.

 

So what's it looking like? A evening gathering at someone's house? Another lunch at Pizza King?

Oh geez, I knew I shouldn't picked up that vinyl-caped jawa at the antique mall in Des Moines....

 

Less than three weeks out, I gotta start firming up the holiday schedule.

I'm willing to try and meet-up. I am planning to be off work on 22,23, but can probably make it somewhere for lunch, dinner, or hanging out somewhere.

Excellent. As CarboniteHan and I were the only two "XY" SBFFers not at the pre-Thanksgiving bash, was this matter discussed and any resolution...um...resolved?

 

Only a couple weeks away, and we need firm up plans. I think we will be going with the 23rd unless the survey says different.

 

23rd works great for me - let's set that. Now...lunch again, an evening meeting at someone's man-cave, or something else? I have no other obligations, so those of you working, etc., we can set the schedule around you. What's best for everyone?

 

i'd prefer an evening gathering since it's almost impossible for me to make it out to mishawaka/south bend on my lunch break. especially in less than perfect road conditions. as for my son's b-day stuff, i would think that it'll all be wrapped up with the kids going to bed by 8:00, so while i'd be a bit later than everyone else, i'd still be able to at least make an appearance.

8pm I think, but if it is going to be at the Man Cave, the proprietor gets final word on the time, of course.
