Ohio Decemeber meeting?

How are the finances for people?
We had brainstormed the idea of renting a hotel room, setting up equipment and having a Christmas party with videogaming (SW legos, The Force Unleased, etc), perhaps even like a LAN party. We have the Wii version of TFU and there's the battle mode where 2 people can Jedi battle that would be a blast! But that would require everyone to pitch in a little $. And economic times are tough.
We'd be happy to host at our house, but we know how that usually turns out.

Alternatively we could do the usual dinner thing.

Any thoughts/opinions?

 

I know that I was one of the one's that brought the idea up, but my financial situation has changed significantly since then. I don't think that I could afford to do that at this time.

I would definitely be up for dinner or something less expensive.

 

We had a good time last christmas at my house. The most cost effective is at someone's house now that gas is down below 60 a barrell. Dinner out is also ok with me. The dates are always tricky this time of year. Christmas is on thursday so maybe that weekend if all are free and in town. We are off that whole week through new years.

 

Hey gang, sorry for the lack of contact. Things have been busy, busy, busy. What does the schedule look like for people? DO we want to get together pre-Christmas, post-New Year's or sometime during the holiday period? We have family stuff from Dec. 11-18 & 26-29 but otherwise we are fairly open (although I'm not sure of Kim's call schedule at the moment). Anybody doing anything New Year's Eve? Just a thought...

 

I'm up for what the group wants to do. I could a pre or post pary and new years party sound like a cool idea to me.

 

I have an utter lack of plans so I'm game for most anything. The only weekends I need to avoid are ones where I have the little ones (12/6-7,12/20-21,1/3-4) as far as upcoming weekends.

 

I could do New Year's Eve, but most weekends are out for me since my new job has me working then.

 

Well, we could do a get-together here or at Shull's place I suppose (not to speak for him of course since we don't know his ideas or plans). Maybe a little gaming, perhaps we can all bring some food or order something...or we could stick with a dinner as usual. Basically whatever people want to do. Of course, if we do decide on a New Year's Eve affair that doesn't mean we all have to hang out together until midnight. SOme of us old folks get tired you know

We will not be in Toledo for New Years Eve. Heading up and over to South Haven, MI. Also, my family is coming in town for christmas on 27th. Open for any other dates to get together.

The 13th,15th, 20th,22, 26, 29 of this month work for me

 

The 20th would work best for us I think. I'd have to check Kim's schedule (the Thursday dates are out for us because she is always on call on Thursdays).

 

Most days are good for me right now except for weekends.
