DECISION POLL #3 -- Should polls be removed from C&G? [April Fools]

On second thought, maybe we should remove games too. Just call ourselves '&'. I don't think we really need much more than the good ole ampersand.

I like that the polls are mixed in with the games. It gives you a warm fuzzy feeling seeing two different items co-existing in one forum.

It wouldn't be much of a census thread without polls now would it?

 

No I don't think that they should be removed, as some have already said it was census before games got here, and would games really generate that much traffic to have its own forum or would it be moved and merged into games or even into JCC where they used to be a disband this forum all together?

If that is the case then with all of the recent mod retirements then the mods here could mod and help out in the other forums where there are current opportunity's.

Been like "um . . . sorry, they stay." I thought you guys would start catching on when all those mods came and posted that polls should leave (they were in on it)

 

I thought it was odd how all the mods were "pro-get rid of polls".

I just thought they were bitter or something about not having polls in their forums...

 

It'd have been even funnier if we'd overwhelmingly voted "yes".

^ To be entirely fair, it's like having 'Abstain' on a mod poll. It allows you to actively signal your dissatisfaction with / indifference to all the stated options, whereas just not voting could be laziness, forgetfulness, apathy, whatever . . .

In other news, I completely fell for it, so . . . er . . . yeah.

Of course not. IMO, that's what makes this forum. I don't really get into all the games and such. I love voting and posting in the polls. Good fun.

Wow, I'm more shocked at the fact that you actually played an April Fools joke in census and games of all places on the boards than I was by the april fool itself.

 

Why?

However, such necessity to signal that you have voted yet are not concerned about the outcome is only needed when you are trying to gauge a precise result from a certain number of votes. This could never be the case in such an open and honest place like C&G. Abstain has no purpose here, and could never have one.
