The Camarillo Airport [101 HWY & Las Posas] is having a immense airshow on August 28 & 29. www.camarilloairshow.org Deep Space 101 will have a booth there to meet new scifi friends and to inform the Ventura public about the Deep Space 101. Many fun things are planned at our booth. This event has many classic & movie static plane exhibits and a 4 hr historical airshow. Come by and see us!

Hello Scifi Friends~ The friendly and enthusiastic club members of the VCAS [Ventura County Astronomy Society] is once again hosting a informative & fun booth at the annual Ventura County Fair [Weds. August 4th everyday to Sun. August 15]. Ventura County Fair grounds are off the 101 Hwy in Ventura where is connects with the Ojai 33 Hwy.

The Society has been informing the public about astronomy with public events as these for many many years. The society's historian, Jim Sumstine, has become a great member of Deep Space 101. [Deep Space 101 informational and membership brochures will be available free to the interested public from the VCAS booth.] The Collections Building is a fascinating place. This building features local hobby groups sharing interests not only astronomy exhibits but model building, gem & coin collecting, genealogy, and more impressive exhibits. Also the building exhibits people's personal collections from old political buttons to Beanie Babies. Why not go by an say "Hello" to Jim and the friendly VCAS folks?
