delta source london park meet 2006!

as previously mentioned in another thread,the team that brought you the award winning star wars fanzine delta source are hosting another of their near-legendary "park-meets",this coming july 29th,a saturday,in an as yet undisclosed park in london.
as with previous years,the general idea is of frolics in the sunshine-cricket,frisbee,picnic,the odd game of had!
fun and gentle laughter is the order of the day.
younglings are more than welcome with the appropriate supervision.

Cool stuff Jamie Won't be able to make the Deltasource one myself, I am in Bristol that weekend.

But the deltasource people are invited to the FF-UK Grand Day Out to Sutton Park in return, check here for developing info - Sunday 6th August.

 

Tim you slaaaag. We're going to Bristol too so you can crash here at the weekend if you want. That way you come to the park and get to the geekfest the next day.

 

Wicket is booked into a premier travel lodge round the corner from the Birstol event, cos I am there from Friday till Monday (going to the Joust thing on Sat)

But if I am able to get to the London con, yeah, would be cool to crash at yours and lose at Trivial Pursuit

Greenwich isn't too far from me either, but this park meet is Green Park which is central London near Picadilly and St.James's Park

Just a quick note to say that we will be meeting up at Waterloo under the big clock on the concourse at 1130, before travelling to Green Park via "the drain".

Yay, a party in the park. So what kind of things are people supposed to be bringing. And what are people wearing as I couldn't possibly turn up wearing the same outfit as someone else.

As to what we get up to, I plan to bring my trusted frisbee, and hopefully Jamie will be bringing his cricket set. That is as far as the "activity" tends to go. In between displays of our sporting prowess, we crash out on the grass and drink and chat.

I know it may not sound like much, but it is possibly the most relaxing day EVER! There is virtually no stress and very little effort.

In the eveing we might head off to a pizza buffet restuarant, or (more possibly) go to a pub for the evening. Everyone brings their own lunch to snack on throughout the afternoon, so often we are not after a big meal in the evening.

At the moment it's still up-in-the-air as to whether or not I can make it, but what I'll probably do is make it to Green Park for lunch (at least). It's easier for me to meet you at Green park, so that's what I'll do but will let you know before hand either way.

I hear we could be in for a rainy weekend though, which is bloody typical ;p
