yes you are crazy but how freaking cool would that be. I would be in!
Are you thinking another trivia thing or something else?
I was thinking of the same trivia format with the three parts, but expanded for a larger audience...maybe.
JT do you have the sample questions...because to do trivia at a SW convention. i wasn't able to go to the one at DCC...how did you do things there? A jeopardy type game would be awesome with specific categories. that way there is something for everyone.
I'd be willing to help out. Unless they let me do Backstroke of the West, that is.
Here is the format we did:
At the end we did a "Force Lightning" round where we had people go one-on-one answering questions as quickly as they could.
Count me in!
I'm in (as long as the panel isn't up against a "Rebels - Season 2 Revealed" panel). Hope this idea is allowed and not deemed as competition for https://www.facebook.com/StarWarsWorldChampionshipTrivia
Also, questions will have to be harder and more obscure than those made for the morexgeneral audiences of DCC.
I believe his was multi-day with not as much audience participation as ours was. But, we'll see.
Problem is there were several of these types of panels at CV and CVI. I think you're going to have way too much competition on this one. And you'll need a very professional team to put it on (Celebrations tend to approve panels based on how professional looking they are). Yes, there is an approval system with lots of politics involved (R2 BC goes through many processes to get their two to three panels approved). You can always fill out the form, but unless you know someone on the inside, chances are it probably won't get on the schedule. However, it's free to try (and maybe prove me wrong). I do hope you get approval for this, I think it'll be really great, but the chances are slim. Personally, I'm planning to just go for the fun of it just for once.
I think our trivia panel would go over well. Even the DCC version this year was more professional than a lot of panels I saw at CVI, and we'll have time to professional-it-up a bit more. More importantly, the crowd went crazy. The energy our host and crew stirred up in the crowd is what makes this panel worthy of CVII. I think we should submit early and give it a shot. Maybe we won't get in because of the establish trivia panel groups ahead of us, but we don't know that. Maybe they do need several groups doing this for CVII. It's a big conference and will be different than CVI.
I sent an email describing the panel in detail and how it went at DCC to Mary Franklin at Lucasfilm. I also included some of the team names to sweeten the entry!
If I get a reply I'll post it here. Looks like first responses to fan programming submissions will happen April 7, 2014 with final decisions made February 1, 2014.
Ok i am in...whatever you need. I don't think i am doing staff this year...just too much work and i didn't get to see ANYTHING.
Do they have a TARDIS or a Delorian?
Uh...yes! Lucas can get anything after that Disney buyout...
Should be February 2015.
Another thing to keep in mind is that we'll most likely be recording video of every panel at DCC next year, so you can always get the video of the DCC panel and send it to help with their decision.
Where's my powder blue suit and puffy shirt...
That can be arranged.
Don't forget the blue suede shoes!
Nice! i like this!!!!!
As anyone thought about maybe talking about the Xwing at a panel, sort of like we did at Starfest?
I'm sure that would be a
@PtrsonsZOO question, since she knows what we can and can't do regarding the X-Wing.
This thread got a little derailed,
@nnaydolem. You mean at DCC, right?
I'm thinking it will probably be a redundancy, but no confirmation yet.
wellllll....i actually was thinking Celebration...i mean we here in Denver know about it, but i am sure that others would like to know about it. Just a thought.
Im in... the last one was a blast and went over reallllllly well!
