Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade Information - March 13th

I just had the head of one of the klingon house tell me "That was a awesome float.. I was jealous i was not part of it.. lol"

Thought that was nice!!!

 

I had so much fun, and it was so great to see everyone! I went to Springs after to a St Pat's party, and that was nice, too, but walking through the door in my coveralls to see a bunch of...what do we call them? Civilians? Muggles? Non-geeks, anyway, before I got changed was interesting.

I'd just like to point out that with in excess of 200 entries, and this slideshow being 99 photos, that we had more or less a 50/50 chance of having a single pic in. I counted 13!

I don't post here all that often. But I did want to thank all who pitched in and made this a wonderful event for all. Thank you also for having me as your Vader for the day. It was great to be able to do this after my heart surgery. In life, so many things get taken from you as you grow older. It was just beyond words of what I was given Saturday.

It was awesome to have you as Vader again. You know how the kids love it, and it wouldn't have been the same without you!

Yay for pictures! My mom is trying to figure "this" out and wanted to see parade pics. She's thinks it sounds like a ton of fun, but can't quite picture how it "works".

What a fun parade. I think I have finally recuperated from the nonstop prep for it.

Whats next? parade of lights?

 

Arvada Harvest Festival parade.

 

About 1.5 miles.

 

Definatley parade of lights, plus the float goes with the winter theme, we would need to add lights.

 

So... when you add on the extra walking to the end of the staging area to meet the float, then over to the 16th street mall, and then back to the car.... 3-4 miles. I need to get in better shape --this wiped me out, big time!
