Derek's adventures at work ...

Ok, it all started last Wednesday, my first day of training. I could log onto Windows fine, and my email, but not the companies Intranet. No biggie, they just had to change my password, right? Wrong. Someone went and changed my Windows password instead, and somehow also changed my username. So then I couldn't log into my email, either because the username is taken from the Windows username. So then today I come in and they say I have a new username for everything. Woohoo! I log onto Windows fine. However, the new username isn't even registered with the Intranet, and noone gave me the default password for my email, so now I'm no further ahead. And, the Techlog (which we fill out after every call) is still with my OLD username, giving me 2 usernames for everything, but nothing works!!!

I'm going insane! Because I can't get into my email, I can't do all of the tests/modules yet, but it doesn't matter because I can't get onto the Intranet where all the answers are.

Strange thing is, this is an IT Tech Support Call Center! And noone knows how to do anything around here!! How the hell did they get to be #6 in the world???
