I don't think he literally meant "Indians." I think it was a snide byword for black people. Usually that's what people mean when they talk about walling up Detroit so nobody has to see the residents.

Glenn Beck tells FOX: "I think I played a role in tearing the country apart."

Glenn Beck tells listeners: "Homophobes have no place in this country. Anybody within the sound of my voice that hates a gay person because they're gay, you have no place calling yourself a fan of mine."

I know he plays the "grand uniter" libertarian card sometimes to widen appeal and jimmy up subscriptions for the Blaze..but I think it is good that he says it publicly, regardless of whether he actually believes it. Rarely do we see whackjobs on either fringe temper their tone-it's either all Obama's fault, or all the Tea Party's/Ted Cruz's. Good to see some of these talking heads blame themselves for irrational behavior and take a break from calling the Democratic Party "brownshirts" to make some sense.

*blink blink* Glenn Beck actually making sense again (Like he was on his HLN show before he started to turn hard right in 2008 prior to his departure)?

Aidan Burley, Conservative MP for Cannock Chase, is a ****.

But not such a ***** that he needs to be disciplined by his party or charged by the French police, apparently.

    Watch it with the language.

That has to be a joke, right? Because that would mean that no one is born heterosexual either. Is he saying that we all just hit a certain age and then just flip a coin to decide what we are or what?

Every so often a politician will cling to an actual good thing so as to seem reasonable, then drag all their nonsense along right behind it. Megan Kelly does this and got a bit popular recently. Here's what you do, you say something like, "OMG those damned rapists!" And of course people will agree. Then your next report or comment is, "OMG those damned climate change hoaxers!" People will buy right into that.

So Beck is just playing a fine line game where he will sound reasonable to some, then next thing you know who PRAISES TO HIGH HEAVEN Rick Santorum.

Am I reading that right that he had a stag party with Nazi strippers? I have seen bits of erotic artwork featuring BDSM style femme fatales where they have a Nazi outfit. I don't know anything about this politician but regardless of his real intention it appears he just did something public figures should avoid. No I do not condone Nazi-whatever. But I assume at the moment this guy is not some kind of Nazi sympathizer either. Am I wrong? I know nothing about this guy.

I am gonna copy and paste this guy's comments, but please go ahead and watch the vid.

    Income inequality: "Fantastic"

One Canadian entrepreneur couldn't have been more excited to learn that the 85 richest people on Earth are now worth as much half the world's population.
"It’s fantastic," said Canadian millionaire Kevin O’Leary on his own Canadian news show the “The Lan & O’Leary Exchange.”
“This is a great thing because it inspires everybody, gets them motivation to look up to the one percent and say, ‘I want to become one of those people, I’m going to fight hard to get up to the top,’ " said O'Leary, who's been dubbed Canada's Donald Trump and is also an investor in the reality show Shark Tank.
“This is fantastic news and of course I’m going to applaud it,” O’Leary went on to say Monday, on the record, in front of television cameras that were recording him. “What can be wrong with this?”
“Really?” asked bewildered co-host Amanda Lang after a prolonged pause-and-stare situation.

I get the term wrong...Christian apologists? This is a Capitalist apologist. Or more to the point a corruption apologist. Never mind the blatant destruction of the economy that burts in 2008, never mind the constant Koch Brothers facade of polical influence groups, never mind the outright hubris of evil peopel with deep pockets and the politicians supporting them. Make capitalism seem all sweet and innocent then pass laws through your bribed politicians to suck the world dry of the economic power that you set up anyway. [face_sick]

I feel Like I am spamming a bit but I tried to get this all in one post and only one thing posted combined with another so, here I am.

Anyway, followup on the quoted post.

Mr "Obama should be hung" got a secret service visit

What's funny here is his back peddle attempt:

After receiving a barrage of critical tweets Tuesday over the incendiary comments, Black insisted that saying Obama “should be hanged for treason” did not constitute a threat. “Free speech, no threats. #goodgrief,” he wrote on Facebook Tuesday afternoon. Yes, I am still running. I’m not ashamed for saying that government officials should be held to the same standards that we are.”

Yeah, last I checked hanging someone is not some kind of standard we hold people to. Derpity do da derpity yay, my oh my what a derpity day.

He's not (afaik) a Nazi, just a numpty and a hoorah Henry, and the article didn't mention strippers. At all.

He was best man, he flew the groom and stag party over to France, dressed the groom in a Nazi uniform and went to a restaurant where they all made Nazi chants. He's apologised (and denied being involved in, or even witness to, the chanting), but the whole thing was his idea.

Apologies for the apparent swearing, by the way @Todd the Jedi.

Well that's what I thought a stag party consisted of and they all joined in.

No I'm being serious I'm just misreading something. A Stag party is a bachelor party and in this case it went somewhere that had a Nazi theme which is generally a mocking of Nazis via BDSM. Or so I have seen in erotic art. But I get its illegality. I only questioned because I know nothing about the guy or what he has done in the past which can be a key to his actual intention aside from "Oops".

Glenn beck just did what I pointed out. 'OMG, damn those hompphobes!'. And then....

I'm not trolling anything. I just wanted to know more about this guy's history and political outlook as compared to his Nazi stag party.

Modest is hottest becasue boys will be boys

Let’s start with the phrase ‘modest is hottest,’ shall we?
Modest means having or showing a moderate estimation of one’s own talents, abilities and value. If modest is hottest, then it’s not modest.
You are literally sending the message to young girls, who are already struggling with self-confidence, that hiding their body makes them more attractive. You are establishing a sense of shame in these young, developing minds and bodies.
My body is not a sinful temptation that needs to be hidden.
My body is not your personal, sexual object.
My body does not overshadow my character.
My body is not any more sexual than a man’s body.
My body is not here to look ‘hot’ for you.

Next up is his second statement, “boys will be boys.’
    Boys are not sexually uncontrollable.
Boys do not have a genetic, animalistic, violent nature.
Boys are not born with a natural desire for destruction or control.

Despite what society and culture keeps trying to cram down everyone’s throat, having a penis doesn’t make it okay to sexually harass someone. The false idea that men can’t control themselves is so unfair and completely ridiculous.

That GOP is doing it's best to reach out to women and prove there is no war on women.

Wife should voluntarily submit to her husband

"The wife is to voluntarily submit, just as the husband is to lovingly lead and sacrifice," Pearce wrote in a December memoir "Just Fly The Plane, Stupid!" that discusses the Bible. "The husband's part is to show up during the times of deep stress, take the leadership role and be accountable for the outcome, blaming no one else."
Pearce also writes that while the wife is not inferior, she must nevertheless be obedient to her husband.
"The wife's submission is not a matter of superior versus inferior; rather, it is self-imposed as a matter of obedience to the Lord and of love for her husband," he said in the book.

    Well that's makes all kinds of goddam sense. 8-}

He and his wife "operate as a team". Because a team is a group of people who do exactly what he says I guess.
