Gaming Destiny & Destiny 2

I'm for this idea also, but how would they get away with hard drive size? You'd eventually have systems whose HDD's are half Destiny (or more).

 

Playing some Mayhem and while fun being able to pop like crazy I’m hating being back to 4v4 after my hrs upon hrs of 6v6 IB.

 

Buy an external 10TB HDD and dedicate it all to Destiny?

 

So I'm a PS4 guardian, and I was trying to load up D1 last night, and was getting continuous Weasel (network) errors, unable to log in past pressing 'X' to get past the initial title screen.

I was able to log into and play D2 immediately afterward and have never encountered Weasel trying to play that game.

Does anyone have any insight into this? I did the PS4 version of verifying game caches, clearing cache, full shutdown of system, restarted both modem and router, etc.

These are really great, and feel like they're written by a writer that is consciously trying to address the complaints from the Lore community. Tyra Karn's "card" reads like a Destiny 1 grimoire card exactly. I even want to read her Ghost's voice in Dinklage's dry delivery. Also, the meta-reference to the Lore community's obsession over the Vault of Charlemagne is a really nice touch.

 

I still prefer Dinklebot to current bot.

 

A running joke with my group throughout Taken King, whenever Nolanbot complained about encryption on a door or something, was "Dinklage would have had it done by now."

I hate Hive. These look cool though. But Hive. Yeah blah blah

 

Mixed feelings so far.

The campaign is four missions.

 

Mission 1 was better then anything imo in CoO.

Did something go away on location select where Mars is? I could swear something was there.

 

I have the final two missions to do (which I believe are the new strikes).

Already hit the soft cap of 345 lol But I've heard the endgame grind is a lot slower and unforgiving.

 

Endgame grind is pretty brutal.

Reminds me of HoW, power engrams give you a slight increase. No more giant jumps.

 

Finished mission 2 and I really liked it. Lots of action.

 

It took me 4 hours just to gain three light levels.

350+ is a very, very tough grind.

 

At 340 but barely putting time in it today. Finished mission 3 and I loved it. Some solid shooting action. If I have to deal with Hive this is the Hive I can deal with. That Hearld was freaky.

 

I finished the story and found it really fun. The new enemies, and the quests are fun. I've also been picking up collectibles left and right. A lot of secrets to uncover in this.

 

The Hive are not new enemies.

 

Forgive me.

I thought that given their representation in the story they are a “new” enemy.

 

Finished earlier. I actually really liked it but damn that was wayyyy to short. That said it’s all I have thus far done. I really liked the Ice Hive though from what I can tell they don’t have any differences other then looks from old. Has anyone done the strikes, PvP, escalation stuff yet? Armor I have seen on Warlock an Titan are horrible. Gonna let my son do Hunter tomorrow. Much better then Curse atleast.

Destiny 2 is in next month's Humble Bundle.

Looks like I'll actually be trying it out.

 

I've got to wave 4 on escalation point. Strikes are pretty boring because it doesn't offer high powered gear. Haven't tried PVP yet because I'm not a fan of D2 crucible; due to most the player base leaving, PVP is a curb stomping playground.

Btw, as for heroic strikes, do not even attempt them unless you're at the world soft cap (345) - data scaling has returned. In English, if you're below 345 and enter a 350 activity, the enemies are 10 times more powerful than you.

My grind so far:

Working towards my next power cap (360)
Finished exotic sword quest
Unlocked 20 sleeper nodes (aiming to get the other 20 today)

 

The campaign was profoundly disappointing for me in terms of length and lore. Yes, lore. The universe's lore and story is what keeps me coming back, but the current writers really don't seem to care or put much thought into it and the characters. Ana Bae. Hey, weren't you dead? Care to explain why aren't you? No? Ok then. The titular Warmind? We barely interacted with it. Again. And I honestly don't care whay you all think, but treating a son of Oryx and a frakking Wormgod - regardless of how lesser they were in relation to their kin - as mere end mission bosses is ABSOLUTELY NOT OK.

That's not a new theory tbh. And in a way it kinda makes sense, considering the ties of that character with the No Time To Explain weapon/quest. Where is that hint dropped? One of the adventures?
