Oh, amazing and awesome ending! And the mush at the end about the baby.... awww! And I'm so glad that Lola is dead, along with Palpy and Rorlak - there's no one left to hurt Anakin and his family.... I'm eagerly awaiting the epilogue!

Thanks Jazz! As for that "mush about the baby"...did you notice Padme was saying she thinks it's a girl? Earlier in the story, she said she thought it was a boy.

Nice job. I am glad that Anakin used his head and not the dark side of the force. Excellent way to get rid of that pathetic Lola.

 

just caught up on this fic, choice work Rassick, be kinda cool if the jedi council accept heir wrong doings and for what the chosen one really stands for and Anakin still seems himself as a Husband/Father and a Jedi.

Anakin reflected that he had always longed for a life greater than that of an ordinary Jedi; a life of significance, of conscience.

He had certainly lived through one.

And what of his destiny?

He had been prophecized to restore balance to the Force and destroy the Sith?

And in the last week he had cleansed the galaxy of its greatest scourges.

But was that all he was meant for?

The Jedi Council just might have an answer.

They might even welcome him back into their ranks after learning of his deeds. They might apologize and admit the error of their ways and even beg him to come back.

But Anakin would have none of that.

He would be the most intelligent and powerful of its members by a long shot, and Anakin knew he was above all that.

Indeed, he was too good for the Council.

He had certainly proven himself as such.

Perhaps all that he had to do now was be a good husband and a good father; Padme and the baby would undoubtedly need him.

And he would certainly love them both.

It was a humble charge, certainly far from the glory that he would enjoy as the galaxy?s greatest Jedi.

Yet, Anakin had had his fill of glory.

Now was the time for compassion and love, something the other Jedi would never understand and never allow.

Now was the time for family.

It was a modest fate, to be sure. Was raising a family all that destiny had remaining in store for him?

Would he achieve fame and prestige by living in obscurity with his wife and child?

No, Anakin thought. Besides, those things didn?t matter. Only life mattered.

Love mattered, too.

And love was more than enough.





THE END

 

Nice way to end the story. Anakin decides to live with his family and let go of the Jedi. I do wonder what the Jedi will think of that when they finally learn the truth of what truly happened and realize that he brought balance to the force and is married. I at least hope that Obi Wan and Anakin will remain on good terms.

Will there be any Epilouge revealing what the Council or Obi-Wan does concerning Anakin?

 

Nice conclusion for a great story. I too would like to know if there would be something for Obi-wan.
