Great stuff thanks! I must admit rey does have a dark look to her in those final moments on the cliff in the slow mo bit with ren, maybe it's intentional and to be explained in 8....

 

She also had a dark look in her eyes when she throws back Ren's mind probe back onto him.

 

Twist: Leia isn't the sister. Rey is Luke's Sister. Obi-wan dropped her off on Jakku. Jakku has a super long orbit and gravitational field which slows down regular time. When Luke told Obi-wan that Leia was sister and Obi-wan replied "You insights serve you well". He was lying as he always has. He didn't want to give away the location of Luke's sister cuz he knew that Luke would end up giving that info to Vader. Yes, Leia is his 'sister' from a certain point of view; friends.

Dun. Dun. Dunnnnnnnnnnn.

 

Oh man how I would love the retcon of Leia not being Luke's sis. Love it. Interestingly, Leia was originally not going to be Luke' sis. It was going to be a girl trained on the other side of the galaxy. Someone new. This was per the TESB story conferences between Lucas and….dun dun duun…Kasdan.

I think this weirdly suggests that Rey is a clone of Luke made from his hand and the saber is connected to her through this. Thank you for this information, OP.

Yep. Like he felt guilty she was left on Jakku, but also glad she wouldn't be involved and would be safe.

 

To me, Luke looked like he had profound sorrow. Like he was sad that she now had to get involved. I did feel he knew who she was though, glad the script confirms this.

They aren't De-Skywalkering Leia. Rey is nobody's clone because....well.. Look up clone.

 

So this is lowkey confirmed Rey is Luke's daughter right. I mean all the clues lead to that

Thank you for correcting me. I should have said I think Rey could be the eve to Luke's adam then. Perhaps she was made from his genetic material but not a clone.

 

Why would she be a clone? Why wouldn't she just be his daughter or maybe Kenobi's daughter instead?

If you say because Jedi are forbidden from forming attachments...

 

Luke has kindness in his eyes, but feels tortured... because he knew his daughter was alone for so long.
