What I meant, is that the Jedi is from the planet Alderaan, and is within the Alderaanian Senate, overseeing that peace and justice is kept. They serve the Jedi Council, and often report back to the Temple with what is taking place on Alderaan.

As Renata said, a Jedi needs to be impartial. One of the many reasons why they are taken so young. You could have a Jedi that is located on Alderaan as a keeper of the peace, and they could certainly watch over government proceedings. But it goes against the code of the Jedi to have an active part in the government.

As for the first post, I'll try and get it up within the next few days. It'll probably be relatively vague, allowing everyone to contribute to the actual plot of the story.

 

jedi_princess, you could have your Jedi working as a Senate liason. Somebody who supervises what goes on and reports back to the Jedi Council of the Chancellor with an unbiased opinion on what is going on.

Or your Jedi could even be working under cover... hmmm...

Ret is a highly driven individual who follows the Jedi Code almost flawlessly. His devotion to the Order is absolute, and is a model for padawans. However, his intense loyalty to the Order has lead to a slight personal superiority complex to all non-Jedi.

Ret is one of the few hundred Jedi stationed at the Temple on stand-by to respond to any situation in the galaxy that requires direct Jedi intervention. For this reason, Ret generally sees a lot of action.

 

Undercover sounds good. Adds a little mystery to the works.

Now all I need is a profile. I'll have to get to work on it.

Well, I don't have a name for mine, but I made up my mind.

Judi Dench, Jedi Master! (or whatever her name ends up being) She's trained 3 Padawans to Knighthood, turned down a seat on the Council, is currently overseeing one of the Jedi Chapter houses, and doesn't suffer fools lightly. I figure if she can keep Bond in line, she could sure go eye to eye with a Sith! (Oh, George, why don't you cast *her?*)

I'll work on a name, but will continue to hold off on a post until I see how things evolve.

Welcome, Sam! I think Jaden put a tentative cast list on page 4 or 5 somewhere... If you read from page 2, you'll get an idea where we're headed.

Tresi is hardly ever linked to the Jedi, making her a good undercover agent. Having a thin, almost delicate build, people believe her to be harmless and unthreatening. In truth, she is skilled with a lightsaber, as well as hand-to-hand combat, has a sharp, calculating mind, and perfect memory.

She is currently stationed on Alderaan as a Senators assistant, keeping an eye on procedings, but is also on call. So if her service is ever required by the Council, she would return to Coruscant for new orders.

Tresi's history and family are unknown, due to the fact she was found dumped on the Temple's doorstep as a baby.

It's a big cliche (kind of like telepathic twins! ), not to mention, how did whoever dumped her know she was Force-sensitive? Otherwise, she looks good. I'm looking forward to seeing how you bring her in.

So... back to our feature presentation.

 

Tresi is the daughter of a Jedi who went against the code and didn't want the council to find out. The Jedi knew that the baby was force sensitive, and left her on the council doorstep. Unfortunatly. the mother was killed not long afterward, so no one will ever know the truth.

Nef has his own little cruiser with four cabins, The Keeper, and makes a living by shuttling Jedi and Senators around the galaxy. He prides himself on offering a clean, fast, safe journey. As he prefers to fly alone, and hates housework, he keeps a small army of various housecleaning droids stuffed into every available nook and cranny on board.

I might add more later as I decide it.

Money. Money is the only thing that Tubolt cares about, and many belive that
Tubolt has in the past betrayed many of his "freinds" for it.
As long as he collects his fee, he doesn't giva a damn who he's working for.
Even though money drives him to make the choices that he makes,
he's not stupid, and if he sees the mission to be too dangerouss for his liking,
he is likly to step away.

So what do you think?
I might change the name if come up with a better one.

Good characters, guys! I like the idea of Nef with a small army of cleaning droids; you could inject a little humor (without detracting from the overall intention of making the story itself serious) by making them nags, Jane: "Master Nef! Did you wipe your feet before you came aboard?"

And Tubolt seems great, Sam. A nasty Dug who loves money. Sounds like he's got a lot of promise.
