Nice Tree Chilla. Like the Golden Glow of it. :D

Well, I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, never read the books.
But my sister is a really big fan. And I was wondering if one
of you could do me a favor and send me a Harry Potter book
written in German? For my sisters birthday, could be anyone
of the books though I guess the 3rd and 5th books are her
very favorites. Just an idea, I'd pay for the book of course. :)

Oh, and Happy New Years Everyone. :)

So, do you like Harry Potter then Chilla? ;)

Great idea Pete, I really like the German illustrated covers for HP too. I'd love to do a cover illustration for a HP book, mainly because the fee is HUGE!! [face_money_eyes]
But of cause I don't do it for the money :p

    Happy New Year everyone!! :D
Hope everyone had a good time and a great Christmas.
Hopefully we'll all get to see each other again this year [face_dancing]

Matt, that would be amazing to illustrate a Harry Potter cover.
You should go for it. The way I understand it is there is one more
    book to come out right?

    That's right. The seventh book.

But honestly I don't think they are going to change the cover artist for the last book. Sorry.

Yup... I think you are right, Jule...

Maybe when a re-edit comes out you can apply with a complete new set of covers, Matt. :D

Hey everyone, I'm back at college again. It's busy already, but
one cool class that I'm in is Ice Climbing. We went out the last
two weekends and spent the whole time Ice Climbing. It was Amazing. Here are some pictures of my adventure.

Wow, that are some really nice pics. :D
And I have to admit that I would like to try it, although I don't think that I would like to do it more than a couple of time - it must be (too) cold. :p

It was an awesome adventure. The hike up the mountain was cool too.
And it was cold out but as long as we were climbing ice or hiking
it wasn't too bad. Plus if you were wool and not too much cotton
    clothing you stay warmer.

    That looks amazing Pete!!
Will they be giving you an ice climbing exam? ;)
I was discussing mounting climbing this weekend actually, and I never knew how complicated it is to even attempt to climb Mount Everest. The documentary Touching the Void was recommended to me, although it may put you off :p
Brian Blessed (yayy!!) has also attempted to climb Everest a few times, but never succeded.

Yep, waiting for spring and hoping for a nice warm summer. ;)

But right now, dreams about warm weather are illusions. :p

Double thanks Flo (sorry for the delay). I'm very pleased with how the Yoda cover turned out and that is by far my most popular Star Wars piece so far :D

The weather here starts to get warm, but then gets very cold again the next day.
But we've already been promised a hose pipe ban for the Summer....Thames water is a great company :p

Enjoy your break Pete, hope you manage to relax for a little bit!!

Yeah, it is really impressive! And it works great on the cover.
You are a great talent! :)

And do you want to water your plants? ;)
Or what does a hose pipe ban exactly mean?

Yes, what is a Hose Pipe Ban? Must be something they have in Big Cities. :D

And Matt, I like the Yoda picture. Way cool.

You can all sleep tonight because I will reveal what a hose pipe ban is ;)
A hose pipe ban is when the water company say that you are not allowed to water your garden or wash your car during the summer. If you get caught, you get fined and this year they are encouraging people to report neighbours breaking the ban :p
Northern England has too much water, while Southern England, apparantly, will have very little this summer but it would be too easy for them to transport the water from the North to the South which most other countries do in this case. I feel that this should be in the GSFF rant thread ;)
And it's not really a city thing either. I live in a London suburb, but most of the SouthEast will have the ban imposed on them.

Glad you like the cover too Pete :D
I'll try and make a mental note to show you the real thing when you visit.

Has anyone here seen or is planing to see V for Vendetta??
