DHC tidbits: The return of JEDI ! Clone Wars Adventures postponed

It was originally scheduled to debut in February, but it has been slow getting off the ground

Least surprising news ever.

Nice to hear about more JEDI titles though, since it's the best SW comic since X-wing got canned.

 

Didn't either John or Jan mention that they'd already incorporated Jedi: Barriss into another story, though?

Personally, I hope that the CW series gets shelved in favour of more Jedi.

 

More Darkhorse comics were delayed? How am I not surprised?

 

Although somewhat dissapointed, I'm glad Randy at least told us before it was even solicited.

Fel reunited with his lost wife Syal seven months after Mandatory Retirement. A month later, Isard lost a major battle with the NR and Rogues. That was when she captured Fel for Thrawn, in Stackpole and Zahn's unpublished short story The Reenlistment of Baron Fel.

This time though, it doesn't seem like your typical, run-of-the-mill Dark Horse Shipping Delay...sounds like they're trying to create a much more artistically-satisfying comic book out of what could have potentially been a Grab-Up-The-Quick-Wampum cash-in opportunity.

In one of the last few issues they say that had no choice, or something like that, but didn't go into details. But the title "Mandatory Retirement" kinda gives a hint that they were forced to stop. IIRC, Stackpole had plans to bring the series as far as Tycho getting captured by Isard, 6 months or so before the first book started.

I consider this to be good news.

The cartoon series is fine. But the action figure line is hideous and I don't see what a comic series based on the cartoon would accomplish.

But another installment of JEDI would be perfect. I love these one-shots. More!!!

No, The Reenlistment of Baron Fel was a short story, like Side Trip for example, Stackpole and Zahn have done. It hasn't been submitted for publishing yet, and details how Isard recaptured Fel for Thrawn . . . which was briefly touched on in Vision of the Future and NEGTC anyway.

I got this from a Zahn interview I saw last year.

 

I'm voting Barriss next, then Kit Fisto. Because they're cool like that.

Yeah, Yoda's cool too, but he didn't get to shove 3PO over and grin about it.

 

supposedly, one of the reasons Ostrander and Duursema picked Shaak Ti is because she's so visually striking. if so, i would have to say that Barriss (and/or Luminara) would also be attractive to them as a subject for a Jedi one-shot...

 

Re-enlistment of Baron Fel? I've never heard of it. Any info? New story? Old one?

I'd like to see a Kit Fisto One-shot. That would be cool.
