Did Alec Guiness See Episode 1 before he died?

Ive noticed lots of celebrities
have a love-hate relationship with their success. It gives them a lot but creates problems like loss of privacy. I dont think
Sir Alec ever thought Star Wars would become what it did, so not only was it not his favorite thing he did, it became more popular than anything else and I can see why he as a serious actor would be upset. But I think he shoulda appreciated it.

 

Someone earlier said that Sir Alec did the sequels fro free. Is that true?

 

It is indeed true. "Alec Guinness" is an anagram for "genuine class", y'know, and that's definitely proof it fits.

I want them to replace Alec with a digitally aged Ewan McGregor. Let's get rid of Alec completely. There's no point to him being in the films since with a digitally aged Ewan, we would get a better effect.

I thought I already posted this in this thread, but I have not! Ah well here goes.

I remember reading in a newspaper when Sir Alec died, about how he loved his ability to play a role and no-one recognised him.

Apperently he went to a restaurant in London and got to the cloak room, where the cloakroom attendant greeted him.

He handed over his hat and coat, and started to fill out the slip at the cloakroom, when the attendant said something like you don't need to fill that in I recognise you.

Sir Alec was pleased that someone from a younger generation recongised him and had his dinner at the restaurant.

When he left, sure enough the attendant handed over what was his, and as he was walking down the street, he put his hand in his pocket and found a note, which said "Bold man with glasses".
