Did Anakin really believe in the prophecy?

    Well,what do you think?Did Anakin("I fight authority and authority always wins")Skywalker really believe that he was 'The Chosen One' or that he even had any belief in the ancient prophecy that he would(or could)destroy the Sith and restore balance to the Force?

    The reason I ask the question is simply because Anakin himself never mentions the prophecy at all.Nor does he ever refer to himself as 'The Chosen One'.Somewhat odd,given the fact that he has a tendency to talk up his abilities,yet he never tries to use the prophecy to his advantage or to gain leverage with the Jedi Council.

    Your thoughts?

    He only seems to use it when it suits his selfish needs. Not really in referance to the prophacy itself but to the regard other people have towards him, because they believe he is the one. Others tend to give into his demands because of who they beleive him to be.
