Did anyone hear about the Droid Control Ship raid by Plo Koon and Ki-Adi Mundi?

Exactly, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy made something like 1-2.5 BILLION dollars. Those movies in theatres were long and it sure seems like people didn't mind sitting through them. I think Star Wars has enough of a following where if the movies were 3 hours or over people would still watch them. Something like the Extended Editions from the LOTR's for Star Wars would be amazing. That scene Joe_Garreli opened the thread about would have been just awesome to see in the movie. Plus we would have seen more jedi showing off their skills, it would lesson the blow of the posse massacre of Episode III, seeing that, yes, these other jedi were good and not useless bantha fodder.

Where this idiot idea comes from that people are not willing to watch a movie over 2 and a half hours, regardless of the quality, just boggles the mind.

 

A "director's Cut" Would be really awesome.
