Out of all the NJO books, the only two I didnt like were the ones by James Luceno... anyone else feel the same way?

Hero's Trial is easily the best of the NJO (I haven't read SBS yet), but Jedi Eclipse is, well, bleh.

acctually: YES! it took me twice as long to get through those books compared to the other NJO. I couldn't understand the point with all the Ryn..
but I liked cloak of deception very much so I guess it wasn't james lucenos writing. I never did care much for Han..

Hero's Trial is best NJO so far (I haven't read SbS yet). Jedi Eclipse was good, but there was too much going on in too few pages so it wasn't as good as it should've been.

I actually don't like Lucerno's writing style, it seems confused and often muddled, plus the guy can't write space battles to save his life. However, the overall story wasn't bad, and I appreciated a book devoted to Han.

IMHO, Luceno did a grea job with space battles. The end battles in both of his novels, at Bilbringi and Fondor, were very vivid and I could figure out exactly what was going on.

Keyes is the only one who can't really write space battles.

I liked them way more than vp, bp, and eov. The "popular" ones. Except for the whole thing at centerpoint. That really ticked me off.

Well, so far (gonna start Balance Point soon - at last), I wasn't disappointed by any book of the NJO... Oh... I just didn't like that part in the water 'trenches' in Jedi Eclipse...

If the AoC books were a breakfast cereal, they would be called 'Greeeaatttt', like Frosties.

Seriously, though. Hero's Trial is a fantastically wicked novel, and up until Conquest, was my personal fave. Even though I felt JE should have been a teensy bit longer, it was still cool. :D

From what I remember of the time directly after their release, almost everyone liked Hero's Trial. Jedi Eclipse was a bit more controversial, but still a good book.

Jedi ecplise..ugh, that was bad. I did like the first one, though. Han is tight.

maybe its just me but i didnt care too much at all for the 2 books
they are good, but focusing that much on just han is weird
it didnt seem to work for a whole 2 books
han has never been my favorite charactor but i do like him a lot
maybe it was just luceneos style
    still quality though
i think everything, maybe besides vector prime have been really good

Hero's Trial was one of my favoite NJO books and there are not many that I have even liked. Jedi Eclipse was okay. Han is cool, I could easily read tons of books all about him.

Ruin was easily and by far the worst NJO novel so far.

avoided all them so far :)

Going to get the GODV though methinks.

So far, its between Ruin and the Bounty Hunter Wars Trilogy. So much bile, so little time ;)

Loved the AoC duology. Easily the best storytelling to come out of the NJO so far. Counting SbS. :)
