ST Did anyone notice this?

Maybe it was my imagination, but when Hux said the Republic ends today and the Starkiller blasted away several planets such as Coruscant (yes, Coruscant is GONE) it was kind of a swipe at the prequels. That was my first impression. They wanted to wipe away any connection-mostly to clean the slate to be left with only the Resistance but probably also to wipe out any speculation that planets from the PT will show up.

Anyway-lock this if you wish. Just so many threads created in the past few days I had no idea where to post this.

 

Not Coruscant. Not a swipe at the prequels. Jeez.

 

I don't think it's Coruscant. At least that's what I keep hearing..

2) That wasn't Coruscant; it was Hosnian Prime

 

My first thought was that it was Coruscant, just because of the city skylines and all that, but that would have huge ramifications in the SW universe going forward. I feel that if it was Coruscant they would have spent some time there during the film and at least establishing some political backstory. I think the planets they attacked were the primary planets that were represented by politicians that aligned with the resistance, but I could be way off base.

 

I'm going to lock this before this becomes a pt vs ot vs st thing.

And it wasn't Coruscant.
