Did Boba Fett die?

Looks like the vote is 52% - 47% dead at the moment.

 

Boba is pretty much Schrodinger's cat at the moment.

 

Didn't anyone see the fan film "Escape From Tatooine"?

Also, there's at least one EU book about Boba Fett surviving the Sarlacc.

The statue of good 'ol Uncle George at the end of "Escape From Tatooine" was tight.

He's Boba Fett, he can do anything!

 

I now wish he'd died in Invincible so both the character, and the fans, could've been put out of their misery.

 

Honestly, I think Boba Fett is the second most overrated character.
Second to Kit Fisto.

 

Really? I guess we all have our own opinions. I am not as crazy about Boba Fett as I used to be. I still love the Mandolorian and all but he seemed way cooler when I was 12.

 

Yeah, exactly. If we're talking just films, he doesn't really do much that's "bad ass." He has tracking skills, we see that. Then we see a blind guy back into him in the middle of battle and send him flying into the Sarlacc.


Of course, he's a badass in the books, but since most people base their opinion on the movies alone... I say overrated.

I just read his Wookieepedia article, with all the stuff that's happened since I last read a book. Seems like they were really running out of ideas for him. Oh well.

 

Oh yeah, the memories. I actually met Sith Magician shortl after we had that flame war way back.

It was weird.

i voted for him living becouse if you look at his wookieepidea page more than half his biography is made up of important things he did after he survived the sarlacc. So if you dont believe he survived than you dont believe in almost half of the EU after ROTJ.

 

they don't believe in the other half either, so that's not a very strong argument

It's so weird. Nobody is whining anymore when EU is brought up and even when somebody does, everyone remains calm and friendly. There's not even any tension that would require my unique brand of almost-diplomacy. In fact, I'm the biggest problem right now because I refuse to call the Executor a 19km long Executor-class Star Dreadnaught (that thread was upped in Lit this week ). Or that those domes are NOT shield generators. WHAT?

Well, it would be sort of hard to believe he died, even if you ignore the EU. After all, doesn't the Sarlaac slowly digest its victims over an incredibly long period of time? So even if RotJ was "The End," he'd still be alive. Perhaps WISHING he were dead, but alive.

I voted that he died.
He dies in the movie, and GL said that he died. What more can be done?
He is a cool character, but sadly the EU (because it had him live) has allowed him to become overrated and reduced some of his coolness. Mr. Fett being dead allows him to stay mysterious, but him being used too much in the EU makes him mundane. Its like "Here is Boba Fett yet again on some wacky adventure of his!!"
