PT Did cin drallig deserve a larger part in ROTS ?

I think minor characters in Star Wars movies are much different than in most other movies. When the characters are fleshed out, the crew all create a story for this character, no matter how minor (sometimes, it's up to the actor), and they have a sense of purpose within the story. Could Cin Drallig's role be expanded? Of course, but the same could go for about a hundred other characters.

 

But that doesn't mean it was necessary for his role to be expanded in the films.

 

That's what I'm saying; the film told the story it needed to, and too much story would have muddied the pacing. I'm just saying that all characters had thought behind them, and they easily could have expanded his character (though that's not necessarily what's best).

I don't feel he needed a bigger role, the story was told just fine without it. However, I would have liked to have seen at least one good minute of saber fights during the raid on the Jedi Temple. I'm a huge fan of the Saber fights and to see Anakin take on Cin and a couple others would have been a welcomed scene by me.

 

This is a jedi I know we would've loved to have seen fight Vader. I guess having him in the ROTS video game is a nice sampler, but the more jedi fighting Vader at the end would have been better and I would've taken time off the Grevious chase and/or "the duel". Can we see Cin Drallig's action figure?

 

Would have been great to see him in action. Could Nick Gillard star in a spinoff movie as Cin Drallig?? You bet your Irish arse he could. Happy St. Patricks day.

 

I don't even remember seeing this guy in the PT, video game of ROTS yes, movie no.

 

He gets decent mention in the novelization. Other than that he isn't really relevant to the plot of the film so there is no reason he should have a larger role.

 

He's fighting Anakin in the holo-surveillance footage Obi-Wan and Yoda watch.

 

I believe he did. He was a master of all 7 forms of lightsaber combat and had very strong force powers. You could barely see him using while force augmentation and he could use force heal to give himself stamina. Also, I think the small bit we saw of Cin in RotS was part of a very elongated battle. A Jedi battlemaster shouldn't have been cut down like that.

 

He was also Chief of Security, Head of the Jedi Temple Guard, AND Jedi Battlemaster. Why he wasn't on the Council, I have no clue.

 

That's why he should've been in all of the movies.

 

Yes, but I prefer Drallig. Also, RIP the yellow lightsaber.

You can only focus on so many characters. You could say the same thing about so many other characters.

I just realised. Had he chosen blue, I think that Lucas would've made him a Jedi Guardian. If you don't know what I'm talking about, a blue blade symbolized a Guardian, someone who focuses more on lightsabe tecn
