Did Dash Rendar Really Die?

Alright. At the End of Shadows of the Empire, Dash's ship the outrider was supposedly hit by a huge chunk of Debris from Xizor's skyhook, and explodes, yet in the video game for N64, It says that Dash blasts into hyperspace just before he got hit, and plans to not return because he didn't want to get "drawn into the rebellion" or something like that. Which is true, did Dash die, of is he still around? does he show up in any other books?

 

He didn't die. He shows up at the end of a comic called Shadows of the Empire: Evolution. You should still be able to find that comic pretty easily.

 

Yes, Rendar is still alive, being the smuggler that he is.

 

Although you probably want to steer clear of SOTE: Evolution, in my opinion it was one of the worst comic series that DH has put out. Save youself some time (and money) and read the story synopsis in timetales.
