Mace is dead. D-E-A-D! He ain't coming back in the eu or the live action series. The former has a no-resurrection clause and the latter won't star any of the main characters of the films. Mace included.

I'd like an Absolute Taco Please :p=P~Mmmm Taco's

Anyway, I don't see it. Mace surviving that is. But i know how the EU loves to mess with continuity and that's too bad, cause the Bugger may still show up. [face_laugh]

but think about it. they will probably say that: Palpatine found Mace's Body and got a piece of Dna from it, and cloned him, thereby naming him Maace Windu. sometime during the Galactic Civil War, Maace escaped to the far corners to the Galaxy. maybe in the Legacy era, Luke and the Gang encounter him, where he is able to keep himself alive using some super powerful force Power!

I don't think Mace dies. He took way less lightning than Luke did, so he could have survived the fall. And he's already proven that he can take a huge fall and not perish (Geonosis arena). He's the top jedi on the council. No way that fall killed him.

    >>>> I don't think Mace dies.

    That's right.
    He didn't die.

Except for the fact that Lucas writes in the script that he did.

Again, Lucasfilm has a policy for Lucasbooks. Anyone killed in the films stays dead. This was enforced after "Dark Empire" had been written, which was already in place before it was published. Only three people have come back, one of which is still alive. No one else killed in the films was ever resurrected. And the only reason Fett got away with it, was due to the fact that the Sarlacc doesn't kill right away.

Mace looked like he was going to die to me, but they didn't resolve that cliff-hanger in the film.

The Best Reason you can give for Mace NOT dying is the fact that we never see his force ghost.
