    First off I've never seen V, so I don't know much about it.

    But in the recently sent issue of TV guide there is a picture of a character named Diana. That has one red reptilian lizard eye (Lizard = L"Isard"?), with golden highlights, and one blue eye.

    Isard had a red eye with golden highlights, and one blue eye.

    She's described as being "Brilliantly cold-blooded".

    "Iceheart" anyone?

    She's also shown to be wearing some kind of pink uniform. I went on the net and discovered she wore a red uniform during the series as well;

    Kind of similar to the red uniform that Isard wears in the comics.

    Then if you pull apart the letters in Ysanne Isard you can find;

    Diana in the name, which could be a coincidence, as I'm not sure if the letters ysnesr, can be put into a combination that has a connection to the V series?

    Oddly, I just mentioned this in the Amphi-Theatre. Yssane Isard is a character that seems very similiar to Diana at least.

    Diana engages in medical experiments, she is an "ice queen" yet sultry in her own way, she is sleeping with the Emperor of the Visitors yet is little more than a plaything despite her love, she is the head of intelligence it seems (despite her science officer cover) onboard the Visitor's mothership, she murders the previous Visitor Commander for being too weak, and she wears a red uniform.

    Isard is well...Isard

    I think there's possibly some inspiration from the two. Isard is certainly an original character but they are very much alike and V was a very popular mini-series. There is the possibility they simply came up with the idea seperately for very similiar characters

    But I wouldn't mind thinking that Michael was paying homage to a great character type that we haven't seen much of in the Star Wars universe until this point.

    People think parallel thoughts with others across the world. It's proven; over the years I've blessed this forum, why, I had intended to post certain threads some stranger beat me to it by mere hours! And when it happens half a dozen times, it's downright eerie!

    Also, Captison was the first Star Warsian character to have mismatched eyes. Then came Isard, and the Zan-Zu killer twins Xizor hires at the beginning of SOTE novel.

    Also, I had created a red-eyed, all red attired character in one of my books, only to read years later there is one in the Song of Ice and Fire fantasy-class series.

    Further more, both and Malak and I knew he'd fall to me. As matters stood, we were both right, weren't we?
