Did They Mess Up?

Okay. So I watched chapter 11 again and I noticed that Obi-Wan said "Take a squad and follow him." To the blue ARC Trooper.
So then in the chapter where the Clones get to the planet where Anakin is... there's no ARC Trooper! Obi said for the trooper to take the squad.
So what i'm trying to figure out is was it a screw up that they made or did the ARC Trooper just give the coordinates to the troopers and they left without him?

 

That's a very good observation. The ARC trooper should have been there too.

 

That's not what I'm upset about. Did anyone else notice that the ship went into hyperspace just above the skyline? That really made me angry.

 

Maybe the ARC trooper was in the ship and organized the search from there.

That got mentioned a few times in the discussion thread for that chapter, yeah. Using the Hyperdrive within a planetry atmosphere = bad

Then it would have been nice to have had a ship-interior shot of the Arc, just before the ship went up, looking up into the camera as if to say "oh ****"

Yeah.... Cuz they never showed the ARC Trooper in any of the chapters after that. The only ARC Trooper shown again is the Red one.

 

I would think that the ARC would be out with his soldiers, not in the ship, so this leads me to believe that he just organized a group to go while he stayed behind for the mopup.

 

The ARC probally just stayed behind to help Obi Wan with the mission on Munnilist...

The Arc probally set up a squad and sent them on their way......

Is that a bad thing that the ship went into hyperspace?

 

It's bad if you go to hyperspace while in a planets atmosphere - it leaves lots of pollution or something, or so I'm told.

 

You can't go into hyperspace in the planets atmosphere. The gravity well created by the planets mass prevents it.

 

I choose to see it like they just leave the atmosphere really fast. Or maybe someone accidentally hit the fast-forward button at that point...

 

Repulsors up to the point where the ion engines can kick in == slow.

Ion engines engaging == fast.

 

Yeah. The Arc Trooper should have been in the chapter. However, he was probably with his own squad and just gave the orders. It would have been better if he showed up on a holoprojector giving the orders. Oh well.

 

Ships going into hyperspace while still in a planet's atmosphere is becoming a common EU thing. It's occured in some comics and about a bajillion videogames.

 

Maybe he just gave the coordinates to the other troopers .

 

I'm thinking they just accelerated really fast out of the atmosphere. It's been done before, Dooku's ship gets from surface to orbit in like 10 seconds.
