Did Vader really say...

During the Battle of the Heroes, while Vader is choking Obi-Wan on the table, the Sith Lord looks down at his former self's master with a burning fury... and then his mouth moves as if he is mouthing the words, well... I refuse to type them. But did Hayden add that little thing in? Or does it just look like he's saying it? And how could Lucas miss it?

 

Oh no my friend... he was talking to Kenobi. And how.
There is much to Mustafar that still lies on the cutting room floor.
What we saw was the WATERED-down version of 'teh battle of teh heroes'.


Originally, Vader pounded Kenobi all over the place... mocking him almost every step of the way. What we got was a bowl of plain vanilla ice-cream instead of the dutch-chocolate, marble-swirled, caramel and hot fudge sunday with whip-cream and sprinkles on top.

I hate vanilla.

 

I know, but just watch that scene. It looks like Vader says something REALLY BAD to Kenobi (for a PG-13 film).

 

There is speculation that he was actually saying:"You stupid nerfherder" Which really ain't all that bad.

 

But it DOES look like he has a potty mouth lol

 

What he was really saying was this:

"You know that I originally beat your ass all over this fortress. Lucky for you, MASTER... Lucas' homies convinced him to make us look more evenly matched. You and I both know (as well as every single person thats seen the movies) that the darkside and my high midichlorian count should count for something... but apparently Lucas and his homies don't."

 

I thought it was just Lucas, not the homies.

 

Me and my homies kick it like everyday.

 

Looks like he is just straining.

People make all sorts of odd faces when fighting against a heavy resistance.

 

Yeah, thats what I was thinking.

But for those who think he was saying something, it looked to me like he was saying,"****** die!"

 

IIRC, Mustafar was more about the others than it was Lucas... and 'Mr. Jurassic' was very heavy-handed.

We didn't know the power of the homies, I must say it was a disaster.

sure looked like Anakin was telling Obi-Wan to....reproduce himself..
and although I can not cite a source there was a time - way back in 2005 - when there was a site to cite that Hayden was indeed "in the moment".

Where did you get this information? All I know is that Spielberg had something to do with the "lava rain".

 

I thought he was saying "Jedi Poodoo" or give up, something either insulting or something telling Obi-Wan to surrender.

 

Is there an unedited uncut version of the duel where there is some dialogue during it?

If it was indeed filmed like this originally, it really needs to be included as an extra in the next collection (whenever that may be).

 

I know what you mean... I noticed it the first time I saw ROTS, and yes, there's little doubt that he's saying a four-letter word follwed by 'you'. If that was what you meant...

 

I always thought he was snarling, and I just checked it, it is hard to pick! But that line... Whoa! **** Die!"[/i] It's very Vader-esque! I always thought the bugga had a sharp tongue...

YES! he was saying this! if you look at it he definitely says the 4 letter word! i cought it the 2nd time i watched it and i think it works very well to. you can even put on the subtitles and it will say (mouthing words) at the bottem of the screen. he definitely says it!

 

He wouldnt, couldnt of said what I think you guys are saying he says.

Vader pounding on Kenobi all over the place? That would have been an even more boring fight than the one they had in ANH.
