ST Did we see the Force actually Awaken?

Star Wars titles are always a 1-line summary of the plot.

The Phantom Menace pulling the strings.
The Clone Army attacks.
The Sith get their Revenge.
A New Hope destroys the Death Star.
The Empire Strikes back by destroying the Rebel base and capturing our heroes.
The Jedi return.

Apart from Snoke's line to Kylo, I saw no evidence if the force awakening.

Absolutely, when the Force awakens in Rey during the fight with Kylo.

Yes, basically the Force Awakens when Rey does her first Jedi mind trick, then it falls asleep for a little while, before waking up again when it powers up Rey's fighting power at the end to kick Kylo's butt.

So it would more accurately be titled "The Force Awakens, Hits snooze, Wakes Up Again", but "The Force Awakens" works too.

But yes, the title *literally* happens in the film. I mean heck, R2-D2 *literally* even wakes up for Rey, lol.

R2 woke up. Can't tell you why he woke up though. Mebbe Leia used the force on him.

 

Ummm.. Rey is a scavenger and all of a sudden she knows Jedi mind tricks, can wield a light saber, can summon it and have very strong visions of the Force. For me that is actually a huge awakening as we are talking about a newbie

 

I got this one on viewing #3.

As soon as BB-8 rocks up to R2, pulls the cover off and asks about the map. 3po says that it's "highly unlikely R2 has the rest of the map stored in his databanks."

Apparently R2 heard BB-8 and spends the next half hour searching up that data.

Basically, Leia didn't think to check with R2 for the rest of the data. Only BB8 had it's act together enough to do that.

No, that was Kylo Ren.

 

Title says "The Force Awakens" Finn is asleep at the end. Typical Jar Jar Abrams.

 

I don't think he's FS tbh. Just a guy trying to do the right thing

 

Rey, clearly. It literally awakens in her during the duel when you see her eyes light up. It controls your actions and can obey your commands. It more or less took her over, like it took over Anakin when he blew up the droid control ship and like it took over Luke when he blew up the Death Star.

I'd tend to agree about Finn not being force sensitive. When Kylo Ren noticed Finn during after the attack on the village, I think it might have been more that he sensed the conflict in Finn.
