Did you ever participate in scouting?

Were you ever a cub scout, brownie, daisy, boy scout, or girl scout? I've been working this weekend with my son on his requirements and I was wondering about everyone else.

 

Yep. I started as a Bear or Bobcat(too long ago to remember) in Cub Scouts and I went all the way into Boy Scouts. I didn't make it to Eagle Scout though.

He just started this year after finally being old enough. He finished his Bobcat requirements today. He's a Tiger and earned some of the beads and electives.

 

I was a Cub scout and a normal scout a while ago. Although our group wasn't too formal, so we rarely worked on badges and the like.

Yes, I got one rank away from Eagle when I was thirteen, then I couldn't stand it anymore and I quit abruptly.

 

Sure did...Started as a Tiger cub...moved to a Cub Scout (bobcat, wolf, bear) then became a Webelo (ignore the name, I didn't choose it) then made it to Boy Scout rank Star (Just below Life which is just below Eagle)...It was the thing in my family...

One Eagle Scout older brother and another who made it to Life...


Meh...if you become Eagle, it looks great on a resume but all others just shows you were a goody goody as a kid...

For us, the Boy Scouts got away with everything under the guise of being "such good little boys"

I was a Joey, then a Cub Scout, eventually became a Sixer but never progressed into full Scout after Cubs.

 

Yes, I was in Brownies for two weeks and then I quit.

 

I was definitely a Tiger Cub, but I don't remember progressing beyond that...

 

Yeah, I was a brownie and a junior in girl scouts. I quit when we moved and I would have ahd to find a new troop.

I have been a girl scout since I was in first grade. Never one of the typical ones, though we did sell cookies. We're planning to go to Switzerland and Germany this spring.

Yes, and I'm still a member of Scouting Slovakia, albeit not an active one, now... But I plan to go to the World Jamboree celebrating 100 years of Scouting in England next year.

 

I was a Cub Scout when I was young, and my mom was the scount leader or whatever you call it. But I lost interest in it pretty quickly. It didn't involve enough Star Wars toys or something. Seriously
