Did you ever participate in scouting?

I was a Brownie and then I was a Junior Girl Scout. After that it stopped being fun.

 

Nope.

 

I was thinking more people would have participated. This is about a 50-50 split, more or less. Interesting.

Yep... Cub Scouts & Boy scouts. Was even named "Patrol leader" in Boy scouts. Led the guys to a win in "Capture the flag". Good times. Good times.

 

My father was an Eagle Scout but I never participated in scouting.

 

I was everything from a cub to an Eagle.

 

Yes, and I'm a eagle scout, on an interesting note, my 3 roomies for the last 5 semesters i was in school were all eagle scouts as well.

 

I always had Sapient pegged as one of those Scout Leader kid touchers.

PS: I quit during Weblo scouts when I couldn't master some knots and hated the Scout Leader and his son who thought he was hot ****.

Yes I was a Scout from the age of 12 to 15/16, I can't remember. Best thing about it was coming first in the state for a scout rally (a hike with lots of activities to complete).

What's the badge system like for American Scouts? It changed here in Australia after I left, but out main goal was to try and achieve a green cord (after first achieving your red and blue cords)

I was a girl scout. I had a lot of fun especially at the summer camps. I think I had 30+ badges. Can't remember. My kids haven't been interested in it though.

 

I was a scout, I now help as a partial assistant scoutmaster. I made it to Eagle scout in the BSA, which has so far been the crowning achievement of my life. I thoroughly enjoyed scouting, and recommend it to any who think they might be interested.

 

I was in the Girl Scouts (Brownies) at 6 and 7.

 

Cub Scout, Webelos, and Boy Scouts.

I never did make Eagle Scout, but I was close to it before losing interest in it all. I did earn Order of the Arrow membership though, very few get to do that so I am still very proud of what I accomplished in the Scouts.

PS: My daughter (age 7) just joined the Girl Scouts about 2-3 months ago, and she loves it.

 

I did Cub Scouts and Weeblos, then onto Scouting proper, though I left after a coupleof years, the troop got pretty lame, and I had too many other things going on at school.

I myself was a Camp Fire Girl.

My brothers were Scouts (both cub and boy scouts). I participated in Pack meetings (because my dad was the Pack Leader). I participated in Pine Wood derby races (with the stipulation that I couldn't officially compete but my pinewood could race). I participated in Family Scout campouts twice a year (including the ones that always happened to fall on important birthdays -like when I turned 13). So yes, I participated in Scouts.

 

Was a cub scout, then a scout till I was about 13.

 

I was a Boy Scout until 8th grade. I kind of regret dropping out now. I wish I would have stayed in and got my Eagle. I was a 1st or 2nd Class, I can't remember.
