Did'nt palpatine die? He looked dead to me!

I just remembered when i watched ROTJ..as a kid i tought this emperor guy was a zombie..you know a dead guy coming back to life..Lets examine the deadlike qualities..
first the most obvious one HE'S ALL WHITE!!!!..looks like the guys frozen and aint getting anymore blood to the head!!

also his eyes are yellow, and artistically, in a movie guys with yellow eyes are DEAD!!!

I mean the guy walks like he just got out of a coffin in the backyard...and his hands are skinny..basically, he looks like DRACULA..


i know all this sounds really stupid..but what about if it's all true?

So the question is..does the real palpatine die? later to be ressurected by the dark side? well the way i see it..yes..does it make sense to everyone or not? he just looks ghostly supernatural..maybe he's a jedi ghost!

 

... so that would mean that everything would have easily been taken care of in the OT if someone had just called Ghostbusters.

AB you're halirious. I think they we're trying to show what happens when you're consumed by the dark side/evil whatever. Kinda like Golum in LOTR.

I'll go ahead and elaborate on my previous post.

My best guess for the yellow eyes was due to some kind of sickness. Take a look at what the Dark Side did to Palps skin, I see no reason why it did not affect the eyes. As for how pale he is, I don't think he ever got out in the sun much to get a tan.

palp would have floated and laughed at them both and shocked them to oblivion and the dark side would prevail, cause when the DS2 blew up, he would float through space cackling, and he would then take control of Thrawn's body

 

Interesting theory... but no, I think Palpatine was very alive, just very corrupted by the Dark Side. Until, of course, Vader tossed him down the shaft.

I'm sure palpatines apperance in rotj was explained in one of the EU books but i can remember which one. He looks like that because the dark side is slowly draining his very essence away from him.

 

He could have been dead.

I draw to your attention the Dark Empire comic books, where it becomes apparent that Palpatine clones himself, then transfers his soul into the clone as he is dying.

Could have happened before the EU...
