I think the only three ways are to:

    1. model the hair
    2. get an expensive plugin
    3. do something like this

lets see, you can try the shag:hair demo, you could create planes map hair textures to them then link it to the model of your head add sim cloth to it so maybe itll look kinda right

How did you do your Digital Double, if its in 3D?

How would he do a digital double NOT in 3D, that's my question for you.

    Easy.

Just get a stunt double and record it digitally onto a digital camcorder.... ;)

He basically wants to bluescreen. That's not a digital double, that's a stunt double. Digital doubles are 3d cg people.

Listen Confused AWB, I didnt know if he was talking about a digital CG of himself which is a digital double or if he shot himself behind a bluescreen falling which is not a Cg of himself.

hmmm actually Awb and Mike are the only ones right, yes when I said, I blue screen myself falling over the edge then it SWITCHES to a digital double....done in MAX which I then reffer to as 3D STUDIO MAX i did actually mean, I want to create cg hair for a cg model done in 3d studio max

I mean is this post being rude? cuz I would have thought if you didnt know, what I refered to by #1 digital double, and #2 a tutorial for "max" then you wouldnt respond.

Any who!!!!! I got what I wanted, and i'l use it as best I can. Thanks again to AWB for pointin me in the right direction, and to Dorkman, for pointing out the obvious :p

EDIT: oh wait on second thought, I just read my first post again, and it says Im doing a digital double for a scene in which I blue screen myself falling off a landing platform and the camera follows, switching to the digi double.....er.....no, still makes sense, and the title of the thread iiiis digital doubles and CG hair...guess It coooouuld mean I wanted to do a cg wig on my stunt actor?

    I dunno...I gotta sleep
