JCC Discussion Time: Let's Talk About Drafts - next draft?

Sweet, so where do we start?

 

BenjaminBunny, right now we're going to talk about the list of characters we'll have available to draft. On page 83 DarthIntegral posted a potential list, but at the time it was still up for discussion about who else we might like to add.

I'm fine with that list, being that I haven't actually reviewed any new events in comics, and I'm also all for a reboot of our own, and going ahead with a list much like the first Comic Book draft had(although we'll keep the likes of Galactus out of it still) with more ridiculous power levels. I think we just need to have a draft to get the rust off, and then we can prune the list as needed.

I like that idea. Only take out the stupid and insanely too powered (I.e. Galactus).

I want to do a Movie & TV draft again someday.

 

I want to do that so bad, TLI. I've been thinking about that list quite a bit lately, actually.

 

and the DC universe isn't really all that different. sure they re-booted but nobody got new uber gawdly powers or anything. although martian manhunter did fight the entire justice league at once... and won.

 

I've had the opportunity to catch up on a lot of movies and shows over the last year, so I'm thinking there's quite a bit of fun to be had with it.

(Actually watched so much that I've now had to resort to foreign films and television...)

Okay, so I'll leave it open to suggestions for tonight and tomorrow I'll publish a new list. At the same time, input for locations can be made and anything else anyone can think of(I'll be basing the rules off of the last draft). Probably only going to do 8 players, 10 if there's enough interest. The volunteer line for judges starts right now. It'd be nice to have 3 so I don't have to, but I will if need be.

 

They're improved dramatically since the days of Turkish Star Wars.

It seems that the rest of that list has been cut off, so I'll see if we can't get it restored, otherwise I'll have to figure out who was on it.

 

Now these are names I've not heard in a long time.

EmpireForever Yes, that's one in addition to the basketball draft.

The admins are working on getting back a list. DarthIntegral you wouldn't happen to still have that list, would you?

 

Apparently that list is too recent, and anything from the last draft would also be too recent. NYCitygurl, can the admins restore this post? That's not as up-to-date as I'd like, but we've got the entire list, mostly, we're just missing the team picks(which includes most of the mutants and people like that). We'll have to work from there, I guess; I don't think there were that many changes to the team lists.

 

While we're waiting on that, since we have the bulk of the list, I'll put some additions for now and we can talk about them. I've got a list of no goes, as well, to start, so we can talk about them and whether or not we do actually want to add them, and also who has what items and which items won't be considered or need to be clarified.

Remember, not all nos are final, and not all adds are final either.

jack of hearts really doesn't need to be on the list because he sucks and nobody likes him and no judge ever voted for him to win any single match EVER... i know. he was on my team once.
