No reality warping
No time manipulation
No insta-kill/eye contact, thousand year prison, turn to stone moves

Okay, springboarding off of Inty's idea, take a look at how many types of drafts we've done here.

Starfighter
Comic
Animated
Videogames
Movie/Television
Basketball
Wrestling
Pokemon
Mythology

Is that 10? I think it is...

10 rounds, everyone has to choose one someone (or something) from each one of those drafts. No individual lists, let's just go nuts and have some fun while the other lists get worked on. If you want to pick the Living Tribunal for your comic pick, Tsunami or Tokimi for your animated, you can, but you're a try-hard and you suck and I'll probably justify voting against you somehow anyway.

Hulk Hogan vs. The Incredible Hulk!

Bugs Bunny vs. Beetlejuice!

Kobe Bryant vs. Hades! In a one-on-one halfcourt game! Because in matches that involve basketball players, a random coin flip before each of their matches determines whether it's a game of roundball or a fight to the death!

Food for thought.

ok, this is going to be nuts, but potentially the most fun draft i'll have taken part in period.

kinda wish there was a literature part to it though. but i remember why that never happened.

Sweet! I'm hoping that we can at least get 16 GMs for this between the current regulars and some drafts oldbies that might be down for a quick, casual and silly draft.

I'll judge for sure, and commish if need be as well.

EDIT: Actually, not "if need be". I can definitely commish. That wouldn't be much more taxing on my free time than just judging would be for something like this.

 

Instead of a single pick for basketball how about an entire team from a certain year?


Also: team picks? I want to be able to throw some characters together.


I can judge. Don't know if I want to gm while I work on these lists.

 

I'm hoping someone has the guts to take the same character multiple times. It would be epic.

I think you could literally have Anakin Skywalker for over half your team:

You could even make a case for Mythology, but you get the version fangirls worship.

 

Yeah, I'm thinking that if a GM wants to make a pick that might be considered outside the box, they can run it by me via PM before making their choice. I dunno about whole b-ball teams, but if a GM wanted to take, for example, Charles Barkley and Dick Bavetta together, I'd allow that. Or two or three players grouped together. As long as it made sense somehow and was creative in some way. Creativity WILL BE REWARDED. Any notion of picking Godzilla as your M/TV pick and then trying to throw Agent Smith in with him will be immediately squashed, because that's dumb. But if you want to maybe pick the entire regular cast of CSI: Miami along with that of Law and Order: SVU, go for it.
