Discussion Disney Hires Drone Army to Combat Spy Drones

Good news gang! So that annoying person that leaked images from the TFA set using a drone has, in essence, started a war. (puns ahah ha)

According to the above, Disney has hired a special team of drones whose entire purpose is watching for unauthorized drones and will "remove" them so there will be no recording by the public, further ensuring no leaks. Also, a Croation website claims there will be as many as 600 guards on duty to protect the filming sites.

As someone who respects the reason for the secrecy in filming these stories:

 

Does this mean Ep 8 will be titled "Attack of the Drones"?

Have you guys seen the videos of eagles trained to take down drones?

 

Every time I've seen "drone army" the past few days I've read it as "droid army".

 

Heard of, haven't watched. Do we see them in action?

Not terribly different, other than drones lacking personality.... right?

 

The videos show drones flying around indoors, some kind of big gym or stadium, then the handler launches an eagle that grabs a drone in midair and carries it away. I watched it three times in a row just cuz it was so cool. I like eagles.

 

DUDE. That's intense.

 

This is a really great idea. Machines caused problems, so machines can solve the problems. We humans don't have to get involved at all. Nothing could possibly go wrong with such a foolproof plan.
