Kyle Katarn has real work to do; he doesn't have the time to save the galaxy from silly emperors and the like.

Indeed. They're confused. Or, they're ignorant of the facts. Anybody know how many copies of EU books were sold in Japan, alone? Or how many printings of each book? The Thrawn Trilogy is so popular, that it was printed and sold as one large book just last year. Bah! Trying to post anything even remotely EU-related on the Ep7 board is a complete waste of time, for lack of an intelligent response. Most of the threads on that board are utterly ridiculous, anyway. Darth Boba's EU thread has been hijacked by EU haters, and any attempt at an intelligent discussion on said thread is useless. Still...some of it is good for a laugh!

JJ and Mike better include Chewbacca in the ST, or he will rip their arms off. Oh wait, he can't, BECAUSE HE'S DEAD! ;) But without Chewbacca, millions of "casual fans" will be totally confused and Disney/LFL will lose billions of dollars! ;)

On a related note, I'd love to see a poll of how many SW fans are under the impression that decanonization would have any effect on the continued publishing of TTT.

Get this: a quick search reveals that Vector Prime alone has sold just over 10,000,000 copies since its release in 1999....!

    That's a bit more than 20 fans. :) :) :)

Have there really been 300+ books? Or is that also short stories/young readers/etc?

That includes everything, I believe. There's about 100 adult books.

IIRC, there's way more than 100 adult books. I mean, if you're going to call stuff like Jedi Trial "adult".

At one point I actually counted... for the record I'm considering "adult" whatever is blue on this list. Too busy to count right now (only reason I'm even here is because I'm supposed to be working on a paper and am in the middle of zoning off :(), but I seem to remember there was something like 130.

"Blue" and "adult" do usually go together, yes.

By now, I'd have thought 1313 was all but developed (albeit, it hasn't met my original prediction of a 1/3/13 release date), so seems odd that they'd pull the plug this late in the development cycle and it all have just been wasted money.

Maybe it's too dark for them and the protagonist needs to be switched to Ahsoka.

Oh well then. We just have to wait another 3-5 years before we get all the cancelled stills and patchy footage up on youtube.

    My eyes! My eyesssss!
