Wasn't EA trying to buy Lucasarts before the Disney sale?
EA: No Star Wars games before April 2014
Not unexpected, but still a downer. They could at least have one of their part-time interns whip up a 2D sidescroller. I would be happy with that.
I definitely recall hearing that, but I can't remember where. It was fairly recent... last year or so I think.
wouldnt it take time to develop the games before then anyway?
So Dave Feloni finally got to draw a TIE Fighter for Lucasfilm
"It’s hard to believe that I have worked at Lucasfilm almost eight years, and this is the first time I have ever gotten to draw a TIE fighter."
That looks like a strange game of hangman.
Ooo! Ooo! Do we guess by what letter of continuity it's gonna be called?
Is there an F? F-Canon? Wonderful all the uses of "F" in the English language...
"F-Canon" does seem to be the Filoni approach, more often than not.
EA apparently has an obsession with The Gungan Frontier
I'm not even going to joke about what this could possibly mean.
maybe the new cartoon is about Gungans in the rebel alliance
Sounds like more Clone Wars games to me.
Gungan Frontier seems like it would fit into Disney's plans to concentrate on social, mobile and casual games. Maybe a Farmville clone or something similar? But it seems strange that they would use the name of a 14 year old children's game that nobody in Disney's target demographics would even remember..
This seems the most likely scenario. And I don't get why they're sticking with Gungans. Couldn't they have used, say, Jawas? Something that doesn't have all the PT baggage?
Gungans are new Ewoks, apparently.
Just returned from Abrams ST Into Darkness screening at my cinema... MIND BLOWN AWAY I loved it... I can in peace now await the Sequels in joy... if this movie is any indication of what's to come. Trailers and interviews were so misleading.. that lying bastard fooled all! Brilliant!
You mean Kirk and co. didn't find the wormhole into the GFFA after all?
Totally off topic, but I have to ask. Any Andorians? I am still irritated that Abrams seems more interested in adding new aliens to the Enterprise crew instead of using established species like Andorians, Tellarites, or even more Vulcans!
he's more familiar with star wars aliens, then star trek
nope no Duros.. ahem Chiss.. I mean no Andorians!
But he got Cathar into Kirks bed
I don't suppose your fears were about Abram's skills. Mine are not, at any rate. What I fear is the fate and inclusion of the EU. The sequel trilogy may just as well be incredibly good and ruin it all at the same time. In which case I'd have to say...
His skills are no question but a fact
As for the EU's fate... I want it to survive. I love it. And nobody can ever take it from me no matter what they do! But if these movies do ignore it or merely parts of it, but deliver something better or something a mix out of all the best the EU had to offer with Sequel feeling to it.. then I am all for it IF the EU gets a fitting closure and a smooth lead into the new Sequel universe/EU by using flowwalking or such in an epic last tale to connect old and new kinda at least giving closure to many plotlines, even if SW does not really need timetravel (we long got it already anyway!).
Lets say, if Sequel Movie Kyle Katarn is like George Harrison in Trek: Into Darkness then I have no choice but to say byebye to the EU! goddammit I'd love to spoil the big twist of the trek movie... may I?
Oh and Trek got a Mofference now including a Moffship! Really! You should see the movie!
I'm actually more intrigued by that "order67" thing... do I (finally) smell the long-awaited Second Clone War there?
(Probably not, I know, but it's still fun to speculate...)
Execute Order Sixty-Seven: Deploy the Bombad Frontier.
I hope those domain names are covers, like blue harvest was for ROTJ. If they are real then wth?!? Gungans? Haven't they learned anything after all these years?
Guess these domain names could be covers for the Sequel trilogies
