They are drawing inspiration from the greatest literary masterpiece since the days of Shakespeare, or do you question the sheer wonderment of the Glove of Darth Vader?

If they later draw influence from The Crystal Star for Episode 8, then all will be good in the world.

I won't be satisfied til we get a mention of a character with blaster shaped earrings, only then the rumors will have my undevoted attention.

Aw, man! When I first saw that picture of Grand Moff Dunhausen, I thought, "For sure that's a woman... that face, that severe haircut really have that grumpy, no-nonsense older lady look." And I click the Wook link and it turns out to be a man. I'm disappointed. There need to be more older female high-ranking imperials. (Daala always looked too young to be someone who could plausibly attain the rank of admiral; ditto the waifish Leonia Tavira for the rank of moff. Though they did give Mme Isard a more believable middle-aged look.)

Gamiel, the earrings might be good candidates for "Clothes and Fashion"—jewelry counts under "fashion" after all, n'est-ce pas?

Good to see him with the beard, something I've wanted for years and years, but I also can't help thinking:

Hmmm... so he wasn't on set when Han got injured? So he's not in the Falcon.

    QUICK, LET'S START A RUMOR!

Luke has the same haircut for the same reason Ford has the same pants.

Whether or not I want Leia to still have the same bikini I am however undecided.

I think Hamill looks more like TRON Legacy Dude. And now I'm thinking this is a typical Disney thing.

Finally, Luke Skywalker decided to man up. Better late than never.

(Although I doubt Disney-Luke will out-man The Unifying Force-Luke, even with the beard. :p )
That place looks amazing. Good to hear they'll be going to Ireland, and not Northern Ireland.

I dunno... if the hermit rumors are true, leaving to wander around and try to hide all traces of the Jedi, it's going to a pretty bold nihilistic-but-not-grimdark place that I really kind of love.

Hide all traces of the Jedi? So, wait, that rumor says that Luke is trying to make sure the Jedi never come back?

It says that he sees the Force as a powerful weapon so he wanders around trying to hide all traces of Jedi and Sith tradition.

This would definitely do a number on the idea of other Force-adept traditions and of anyone being able to use the Force without training (since Luke is supposedly trying to make it so that no one can seek training). But... I like it. It's practical, and not conventionally spiritual; he's not putting blind faith in the Force and saying, "Hey, yeah, let's chance it on a new batch of Jedi kids. We probably won't wind up with any Sith..." (because, of course, him bringing balance to the Force would ultimately mean that if the Jedi remain, so will the Sith, in this interpretation anyway).

That said, it's almost inevitable that a new threat will arise, and the new kids will convince him that the Jedi need to be resurrected after all.
