The U-wing definitely sounds like a Y-wing successor and the J-wing reminds me of the B-wing.

Especially when they are the Empire's equipment. Still wondering how an AT-AT got on Tatooine? I thought the Empire didn't have a big enough presence there to even have an AT-AT on planet. Maybe it's a different desert world.

 

It's been thirty years. There could have been a battle there at some point.

 

Jabba certainly thought the world was important enough to set up residence there. We also know that Tattooine was reasonably close to Naboo, which likely would have been an objective for the post-Endor Rebels/NR. Even IF the nu-canon throws out the map as we've known it, it seems likely that Tattooine was an important stellar crossroads that may have eventually been worth fighting over for non-symbolic reasons.

 

Well, in the preview for Tarkin, Sheev mentions that Naboo, Eriadu, and Tatooine are relatively close to each other.

 

It's also the home planet of the man who killed Emperor Palpatine, whether in actuality (Vader/Anakin) or in public perception (Luke). I think that post-RotJ, Tatooine's days of being a backwater were behind it if only because of the tourist trade. [face_shrug]

 

I am so sick and tired of Lucas ruining Star Wars for me, and even though he is only marginally involved with things going forward. Lucas will always be around to ruin things because he created the universe, especially with TCW still being around and Palpatine's first name.

Kablob *The Essential Atlas* is one of the crowning achievements of the EU-That-Was. I'll be overjoyed if they keep in intact going forward.

 

I've been down on the Databank - basically because they gave up about half the way through - but I've been noticing that with Rebels there's been a bunch of new entries following the shows... that are just as devoid of content as the rest of entries. Hooray!
