San Diego, CA Disneyland Star Wars Fan Day #2 - June 25, 2006

I have no problem at all with Sunday.

AND we'd be able to ride the new Pirates of the Caribbean that day too.

 

Speaking of Pirates (going a bit off topic)... I was on the VERY last boat to go through Pirates of the Caribbean the way Walt imagined it Sunday March 5th. It took a lot of waiting and patience to get on the last boat, but boy was it a thrill. Cast members, imagineers, etc were all on hand to see us off one final time. Imagineers waved at us throughout the ride as we went along (and revealed to us doorss I've never seen before). When we got back to the dock, the cast members were all cheering for us. I was one of 13 people in this boat who can say we were the last normal-operating riders!

The ride Walt imagined closed in 1997.

 

Well, true... BUT... this was still mostly his vision. A few added things here and there doesn't count ;-) Because now, it's going from the original Pirates theme a movieized version.

 

I got to ride it Sun morning...

But so, Birdman...can we do Sunday ... Pleeeeeze....

I have no problem with Sunday.


I'll be really tired on Monday, if I decide to go to work that day.

But Disneyland is worth it.

 

I think that I may go up Saturday anyways, get into DLand, leave early and kick back in a nearby hotel (maybe even try to get into the Grand Californian) until Sunday morning. (Unless the date is moved...)

 

Awww.. you know you just want to hang around with us on that red carpet!

 

Hey Kim, do you have the hotel Saturday night too? If so, can I crash with you?

And my vote, of course, would be the move the date. July would be bad since most (if not all) of July is blocked for everyone but premium and ticket purchasers. So I'd say earlier in June personally.

 

I think Sunday would probably be the best for people who are already booked.

 

Well, according to our in depth survey data (99.83% of which is just posting here) Sunday June 25th seems to be the best day.
