Well duh they're gunna play safe at first. Han Solo, and Boba fett are almost universally known so they would probably be successes. I doubt Disney would want to start their spin offs with Eu characters or background/minor characters that only the hardcore fans know but the general audience doesn't. Its too much of a risk. Once they start getting more succeses then they will probably try more daring projects (like Old republic, Plagueis, ect)

 

Yes, NOT to mention that doing a Yoda spinoff for instance would ruin the character's mystique forever. At least with Han and Fett they will help launch the Underworld TV series.

Crap, they are going to make total Prequel Crap once again..................So Dissappointed. And they are letting the failure of other movies impact the production of the new Star Wars Films.......One world for that..........INSANE !!!! If I was JJ Abrams....I would bail now before he goes down with the ship. WE NEED FETT POST JEDI, WE NEED SOLO POST SITH PERIOD...........Anything less is unexceptable !!

Harrison Ford as Indy was the last thing wrong with that crapfest. The writing was *****, firstly. Shia Lebouf was second. The ridiculousness (writing again) of the nuclear explosion, the anthill and the swordfighting car ride through the jungle were some of the more bogus flaws. Then I didn't even get to the aliens. LOL
