*shrugs* You asked for it.



"Jaina, Jaina, are you awake?" a voice called, from far away. Jaina groaned,

"Go `way." she turned away from whoever was trying to wake her up.

"Jaina." the voice became stern, taking on a militaristic tone. "Now."
Jaina opened her eyes slowly, and found herself lying on her back, on the same rooftop she had passed out on. Jag was cradling her head in his lap, looking concerned. "What was that?" he asked.

"We just turned on the light." she answered softly; he seemed to at least partially understand. "Where?s everybody else?" she asked, lifting her head.

"Right there." he pointed, "You were only out for a minute or so." he stood up, and then helped her. They both ran over to Luke, who was already stirring.

They knelt by him, he just smiled.

"None the worse for wear." he propped his head up against a rock. "On second thought, I'm getting too old for this." Jaina rolled her eyes.

"Were have I heard that before?" They went around, shaking everybody.

When they were finally all on their feet, or, as near to standing as some of them could get, Anakin grimaced.

"I don't think we're done quite yet."

"Aw, no!" Jaina said, "How many?"

"Uh, I would have to start quoting odds."

"Okay, never mind." Jaina ignited her lightsaber, followed closely by Luke, the only other unencumbered Jedi.

"Wait," said Leia, who was supporting Anakin, "Do you hear that?" she grinned, "I never thought I'd be happy to hear those stupid old repulsarlifts!"

Sure enough, soon a familiar old ship lowered itself down to the roof, and a cheery figure appeared on the boarding ramp.

"Hullo." Wes Janson crooned, "We've you been? We've been looking all over for you!"

Mara just glared at him for a second, then ran up the ramp, levitating her nephew in front of her.

They were soon safely onboard the Falcon. Leia saw her sons to the meager medward, then joined her husband in the cockpit, Wedge wordlessly moved out of the co-pilot's seat.

Leia smiled wanly, and slid into the chair.

"You OK?" asked Han, gruffly. Leia shot him an amused glance.

"I'm fine."

"So," came a voice from behind them, "What's the plan for getting out of here?"
Leia pointed at Han.

"He's the brains." Han glared at her,

"Very funny." he looked back at Luke, "Tell Jaina and the Dea...I mean Fel kid to get to the laser turrets." he looked out at the coral-infested sky. "We're gunna need them." he muttered.

Jaina climbed into the gunner's chair, and put on her headset. She brushed the controls lovingly.

"Here we go." she whispered, and was surprised to hear Jag answer.

"Quite." she rolled her eyes,

"Do you know how to use that thing?"

"Sure," she heard laughter.

"What?"

"If my father could see me now!"

"You're a Rebel now."

"Yeah.." his voice grew quite, "Good hunting."

"You too." she aimed at the first coralskipper to hinder them as they began their ascent.

Anakin felt the first blasts hit the ship. Tahiri, who had squirmed out of bed as soon as his preoccupied mother had left, knelt by him.

"You gave me quite a scare, Hero boy." he grinned at the nickname.

"I was just kidding?" she hit his arm, none too gently,

"Ha, ha."

"Ow, watch the arm!"

"Sorry," she said, she looked him in the eyes, "Did you really mean what you said back there?" He frowned, and grasped for her hand.

"Of course I did." he grinned again, but rather shyly this time, "You are what kept me going, my hope and my light. I don't know what I'd do without you."
She blushed furiously.

"I didn't think I could go on, after I thought you'd died." she said, clutching his hand tighter, "But now you're back with me, and..." she trailed off, and settled for messing up his hair. "It was too flat." she mumbled.

She had to grasp the edge of the bed, as more blasts rocked the cabin.

"We're going to get out of this." she said, "You promised, and this time, you're not getting out of it!"

"Ah! Watch out!" Leia cried out, holding on to the sides of her seat, "You're going to ram us into a skyscraper!" Han grinned; he was having the time of his life.

"Come on Princess, are you afraid of a little spin?" she looked at him,

"Do you wish to make it out of this alive?"

"Well..."

"Then BE QUIET." Luke began to laugh into his hand, Leia shot him a glare. "That goes for you, too." the Wraiths, who were busy being thrown around the main cabin, began to laugh as well.

"We are crazy." Hobbie mused, and held his support tighter, "Here, we are, in the very center of enemy territory, being chased by an uncounted number of hostiles. And we are laughing hysterically."

"Hobbie?" Tyria asked,

"What?"

"Shut up."

Jaina vaped another coralskipper, and brought the guns around. Oh, what I would do for an X-wing!

"The hyperdrive IS working, isn't it?" she heard her mother's voice over the comm. Her parents must not have turned it off, Jaina did not alert them of this.

"Of course." her father answered airily. "Why?"

"You remember last time?"

"Yeah...."

"Well, now would be a very bad time for you to have, say, crossed the holocomm cables with the hyperdrive motivator?" dead silence followed. "HAN?!" her mother said, dangerously.

"Well, I was tinkering, just a bit before we um, left and..."

"And what?"

"I fixed it."

"Really."

"Yeah, don't worry." Jaina heard her mother groan. Another bolt of lava burned right past her viewscreen,

"Dad!"

"Sorry, I was trying for the Fel kid." she shot a skip for the fifth time, and it finally plummeted back towards the planet.

"Dad...." she growled. She felt an odd sense of elation from her brother, and drew back, embarrassed.

Knock it off. She threw at him, you're distracting me. She only got a grin back, disgusted; she was about to cut herself off from him, when he asked,

What were you and the Fel doing in the conference room?

She hurriedly withdrew, focusing on the battle. She could not, however, stop the crimson blush from spreading over her cheeks.

They took a hit across the top, damaging their communications satellite, but they suddenly shot into relatively clear space. Fortunately for them, the Vong had not had enough time to mount a very big force.

"Han, the hyperdrive?!"

"Watch this," Jaina heard her father say, smugly. Nothing happened.

"Watch what?" her mother asked, coolly. Her father let loose a string of creative curses.

"Jaina!" her fath
