    Divided Galaxy

A millennium ago, the first races rose to power. With the discovery of the Gate Drive, the Guardians were the first to head out to the stars. As their ships soared throughout their neighboring solar systems, they meet new races, some primitive, some almost as advanced as them. The Guardians made one mistake. They chose the most advanced race, the Karkagians, and gave them Gate technology, allowing them to set out amongst the stars like them. But the Karkagians took this gift, and used it as a weapon, the destroyed three systems before the Guardians took action. The following war decimated both sides, and now, only the Guardians exist. More worlds are growing life, and the Guardians have once more taken up their place as the protectors of the galaxy. Welcome, to a divided Galaxy.

    <>How To Play<>

Welcome to Divided Galaxy, a sci-fi role-playing game, were you not only create your own empire, but you create your civilization, species, and planet. As you play, you can build new technologies, expand your culture, forge treaties, fight wars, and become one of the few true, Galactic Empires.

    <>Before Gameplay<>
Please read all of the rules and guidelines, it will make the game run smoother, and will make it more fun for all. Once you have read the rules, you may begin by filling out the Species and Planet Rubrics. Let the games begin!

    <>Beginning of Gameplay<>
To begin playing, please fill out all needed rubrics, and get started on your civilization. Each civilization starts out with 1 planet, 5 billion people of their species, 100,000 troops, and limited technology.

    -Planets-
Your planet can be shaped to anything you wish, but their will be consequences. If you choose to strip mine your planet, the Chief Guardian (Me) can set up landslides or disasters. This will also happen if you do not govern or reinforce certain planets.
EX. You have two planets in you System that you have colonized. The 1st is your capital planet, a highly populated metropolis. The second is a planet that has been mined for all resources, leaving it a barren wasteland. If the planet is not governed correctly, it may choose to become an independent planet, and you will have to fight to get it back.

Every Galactic Week, the Chief Guardian will send out a rating, showing how much your planets like or dislike your rule. Your choices will affect your people, and so you need to make your decisions wisely.

    -Population-
You start out with a population of 5 billion people, these people are governed by you. Please, please, be realistic, a population cannot grow 200,000 people a day, so make population growth realistic. Also, you can assign your people to certain jobs, which will affect your economy.
EX. You set your population so that at a certain age, they must join the military, therefore, your military grows, so you now have 2 billion military, and 3 billion of your population in other jobs. The problem is, you do not have enough farmers to support both the military and non-military populations, therefore, one has to starve. Once again, your choices will affect your people, so make them wisely.

    -Technology-

Your civilization will start out with basic technology. You will have Projectile weaponry, automotive transportation, and the beginnings of space travel. Once your civilization is set up, a Guardian Ship will come to your planet, and give you the Gate Drive, from their, you can interact with other civilizations, and make new technologies. Please, do not make any absurd technologies, and invisibility cannot be used until you are more advanced. You can set projects for your scientist, which are large technologies that you are researching, they may take some time, but they will give you new Starships and tools.

When you start, in the Rubric, you can put in 'Starting Technologies', but they cannot be more advanced than the humans are today.

    <>How To Play<>

    =Expansion=
So, your thinking: ?Okay, but how do I expand my civilization?? Well, there are several ways to do this. You can either colonize and independent planet, try to coloni

Sorry i havent checked lately. Sniper and Imperial Hammer, your Guardian Applications are accepted, but since we have no players, i doubt that you will be needed yet. Once we get more players, then hopefully we can start.
