Do people like Padme?

I know I don't. And I don't care that she's a piece of eye candy either. She's just a dull dull character...

 

I like the character, but I'm not sure how I feel about the actress, aside from the fact that she's attractive.

 

I don't like her much either, though shes a vital part of the movie.

 

I liked her Character but I can't stand that Portman girl what a crybaby.

 

I like Padme.

Grrr... Theres still ep3. I like Padme. Natalie was good. I liked her acting. I don't care what ppl say... Like i said. I don't look for bad/good acting in a movie...just the story...and the action scenes and stuff like that. When I watch the OT, The acting doesn't bother me. The PT's acting doesn't bother me at all. I don't care. I DON'T CARE!! :d mmmmmmm chocolate pudding....

 

I love Natalie Portman! Hot, smart and very talented. I am working on 6 props for a new movie coming out with her in it. I am hoping to bump into her on the set and ask her if she wants to go make Luke and Leigha. "Wait til she gets a load of me"

 

Damn... I can't wait to do that either... MAN!! She Doesn't know what she's missing... ... lol... She's hot... GRRRRRRRRRRR

 

I disagree that Padme is a dull character. She's no more dull than Leia was.

Are we talking about the CHARACTER Padmé or the actress who plays her, Natalie Portman? I like both, the character was good for who she is, and the actress who plays her seems to be a pretty level-headed, intelligent, beautiful girl.

 

I love both the character as well as the actress.

 

Without Natalie Portman, Where the Heart Is would not be the amazing film it is. Represent.

I don't really care for Padme. She's so rude. Just look @ the way she doesn't even react to Yoda opening up to her about how seeing her alive makes him happy. And she really didn't need to tell Sio bibble that Anakin is a padawan, but she just happens to say "Oh Anakin isn't a jedi yet, he's just a padawan learner." And don't even get me started on how rude she was to obi-Wan in ep1...ARGH!

 

She's just Grumpy... Thats how Leia was...with han.. and luke See... No wonder!! Leia are Padme are alike. Me LIKE IT!!!!

 

This thread is not about Natalie Portman (who I think did an okay job), but rather thecharacter Padme. Let's get that straight, people.

So, to get the thread back on track, no I do not like Padme. I think she and Anakin are two sides of the same coin--both have almost unlimited potential, but both also have some fatal flaw that will keep them from their potential.

 

I think the character of Padmé is fairly interesting. I think I once wrote a VERY short prose fic about her reaction to Anakin's fall.

She's very subdued on the outside, but she goes through so much.

Well the people of Naboo sure like her, and so does Anakin, so I guess that's all that matters. Besides, Luke has to take after one of his parents. Leia has fire and a temper like dad.

I think she's kind of a bore myself. Anakin is her equal and he's younger and has much less life experience.
And she's something of a troublemaker. A Tracy Flick without the pluck, I guess.

I think that Padme is a good character that is essential to the story.

 

I think Padme is better than Leia. Why? Because Padme works better in action scenes, I think Padme's character is getting developed a bit better, and I don't know, I just like Padme more.

She is the tragic figure of the story, besides Anakin.
