Actually I posted a thread about this sooner : it's here.

 

Seeing as Cunningham is writing DJ, and did the story about Jaina in Gamer, and now is doing this too, I think (pray) Jag will be in DJ. I hope they keep him around after that.

 

Ugh. I'm not saying that Jag is the best suitor for Jaina, although I think right NOW he may be, but what is it about Kyp/Jaina that fascinates people? Personal feelings about Kyp aside, he's like...what...close to 15 years older than her? Not to mention that her being with Kyp would COMPLETELY distance herself from her family and friends. I just don't see that happening.

Yep. Even if she didn't end up with Jag, I wouldn't want her with Kyp. Yuck.

Aaron, what about Han? Remember, the two are friends.

 

To be honest Reaper, I'd forgotten about that, and concede the point to you. But we really haven't seen any evidence of that friendship in the NJO, as I don't think they've even spoken to eachother once...I'm not sure.

Jedi Eclipse they talk, seem pretty happy to see(well, hear) each other

And not with Kyp, but Han did speak negative of Luke's underground system in Rebirth, which to me shows that Han maybe leans towards the Kyp view

Here is my take on the Jaina "situation". Jaina and Kyp would have been good together, they are both impulsive and have anger management issues, and they seemed to work together well. However, the age issue *is* potentially confounding. Also, from my point of view Kyp killed his chances with Jaina in Rebirth, although it is possible, however unlikely, that they could still patch things up.

As far a Jagged is concerned, I have no problems with him as long as his character gets fleshed out a lot more before he and Jaina (allegedly) fall madly in love. If he gets enough page time it could be interesting.

For Zekk, I have only read one YJK book, which took place before Zekk was introduced, so I don't know a whole bunch about him. However, I got the impression from the NJO that Jaina is very much over him and is quite willing to "play the field". Zekk may still have feelings for Jaina that will be manifested in Star by Star, but I don't think that Jaina would reciprocate.

I really don't have any preference of Jaina/anybody, but as long as it is interesting I'll be satisfied.

 

My God! Do we need another one of these threads!?!?! I'm sick of hearing about Jaina and Jag and Jaina and Kyp! I think my head is going to explode...

 

You, know, some things that happened in Rebirth made me think it wasn't terribly likely for Kyp and Jaina to get together. Now what were they again? Oh, yeah, he lied to her, used her, and then she said that if he was dying in the desert, she wouldn't even spit on him. Couple'a lovebirds all right.

Well I don't think Kyp should go with Jaina. Besides from being about 15 years older than her, he seemed to hit it off with Fenig Naboon from two short stories in Tales from the New Republic.

 

yeah, i think this means that we are definitley going to see jag in dark journey...yay! I want him to have more of a character than he does now before anything happens between him and jaina.

 

Fen should come back. Then, you could have a Jaina-Kyp-Fen-Jag-Zekk love triangle type thing
