Do we micro-manage our children?

It depends on the parents about whether or not they discuss it at length or in some kind of brevity.

Personally, it depends on the subject and age of the child, though I would let it be, just as my parents let it be with me, and I'm Uber-welly adjusted. I learned things when I needed to, and I can only pray I can do the same excellant job as my parents.

I think parents are screwed no matter what they do. If they try to be protective and educate their kids, they're accused of "micro-managing." If they let their kids go, they're accused of not parenting.

 

Thats what i'm saying and i think Epicauthor is too. But there is no need to go into heavy details with the kid. Dont take their innocence away from them too early.
