Do you celebrate Halloween?... and how?

    Hmm... yeah, that's pretty much how we name them. Cursed my sometimes bad english!:oops:

    One of our most famous Carnivals is the one in Rijeka. It even has its [link=http://www.ri-karneval.com.hr/]official site[/link]. There's a foto galery of this years carneval down to the right, so check it out if you're interested :)

    Carnival here in Croatia is a pretty old custom. It dates from early medieval where people wore masks in rituals that would chase away the winter and call the spring. That is why 'our Halloween' in February/March. It is also connected to dome Christian holiday.
    November 1st is called Svi sveti = All sacred and it is a holiday out of respect for the dead.
