Poll suggestion by Cloned_Sidious.
Yes, but humans are somehow seperate from the animal kingdom.
We are animals in the sense of the word, in terms that we share characteristics with them, but we have gone past animals in some respects to an extent that we are no longer the same.
Yes, same basic level.
Biology doesn't lie.
Species: H. sapiens
Subspecies: H. s. sapiens
Oh, how I hate the word filter.
Yes. I also do not believe in any form of anthropocentrism.
Yes, we are on the same level. Thanks to evolution we just have bigger brains compared to our size.
Yes, but somehoe separate.
Yes, but somewhat separate.
Wether we're above or below the other animals, we're still part of them, and always will be unless we suddenly become manifestations of energy or metal.
aww, why not pure yes/no?
there is something that seperates us. But we're clearly animals.
Yes of course we are animals... but we are far in advance of every other animal though.
Except the Colossal Squid.
Humans are sentient animals.
That is actually what I originally suggested.
That's about the best way to put it.
Sentience is just having th ability to percieve or feel sensory input. Animals are sentient, humans are sentient. We are just smarter than animals.
"Sapient" is the word I should've used...
Yes. I'm pretty sure my dog has a higher IQ than some humans I know.
Yes. Humans are both better and worse than animals, depending.
No. We are not animals. We are humans. Period.
Humans, I think, have the potential to be greater than other animals, but most people live on a purely instinctual basis, so, in other words, we could be seperate but choose not to be.
Humans are separate only in that they have a conscience.
humans are mammals, just like rats and dogs and monkeys.
